ok, recently i was havin sweet sweet talks with my gf ya.. I gave her a sweet kiss on the cheeks and asked, "baby, will you change your last name to Basnet(my last name) after marriage". Guess what she says.. No.. I said, "why not? and she says.. why should i..
Ok i respect her sentiments attached with her last name and i also don't want to argue the 1000 reason she probably has for not changing her last name..
I just want to know if U are a girl and if you got married would you want to change your last name or keep your original last name..?
If you are already married, and if you have changed your last name, how did you make your decision. Do you feel good or bad about it?
If you are a guy, would you mind if your wife didn't change her last name to your's?
happy posting :)

haha... don't worry mate.. i won't force her.. or will not try to either.. it's just that by custom in many countries as in mine.. the girl usually change the last name to their husband's so i was just curious if she would change or not.. :) .. I just want to hear what other people's views were about this matter.. :)..

my father said to my mother when he just courting her, " im a simple man, all i can give to you is my name" therefore for me when we are get married we are obliged to use the name of our husband.

Some girls like changing thier last names, some don't, I don't think that you should ming it. It is perfectly normal and may be she may come around.

Well fortunately for me my fiancee is more than happy to change her last name to mine. Does it matter to me? I can't lie, it does kind of matter to me. I see it as part of the life long commitment you're promising each other. Yes, some people see that changing of the last name as "chauvinistic;" however, I believe that if you really love someone and you're willing to marry them and promise your life to them, then why shouldn't you change your last name to theirs. Just my two cents :)
