I was watching the news last night. There was a nine year old little girl playing in here backyard, and some guy tried to kidnap her. Its sad that our good old days are gone went we could let our kids play in the yard and not have to worry about them. What has happened to our world? I remember as a child, we would play all day outside, and just go in at lunch to eat and go back outside until dark. Our mothers didn't have to worry about us. What is your opinion on this?

yes I remember those days very well myself, my son played outdoors all day too, now everyone has to watch their children like a hawk, the world is changing but not for the better that is for sure. But you know that tales of stealing children have been around since the beginning of time.

My opinion is that people dramatise things too much over one incident. You have to remember that we are dealing with populations of several million people. If you look at the ratio... you probably would not have one kidnap for each million habitant. The difference between today and the past... is that today... people are running scare of everything. Once upon a time... people would stand up to the bad guy... and the bad guy would be scare. Today... the bad guy can do what he likes... because everyone is too scare to stand up to him. We also have the media who loves reporting and making big things out of every little thing in order to scare everyone. Sure... there is nothing nice about a guy trying to kidnap a nine year old girl. But does that mean that we should all lock ourselve inside and never come out again? Are you going to let one guy change your life for ever?
