Is there any places in and around Madurai to visit, except the temples?

Can someone give me the places in and around Madurai within 50 Km radius? I have been to Madurai now and could not find any such place to enjoy other than temples. Please let me know if you know something about Madurai.

Madurai is a town that is awake 24 hours and is the hub for many business in Tamil Nadu.
Visit Kodaikanal. You can go to Kumuli, Thekadi and Munar. Courtrallam is also close by.
I was stayed in Dindigul for 2 years between 2001 and 2002 and I used visit Madurai very frequently.
Madurai is very famous for food, you'll get great tasting Veg and non veg food at very affordable price.

KodaiKanal is very close by. You can go to Kumuli, Thekadi and Munar. Maduari is very famous for food, both veg and non veg are available in affordable price.
