Oh wow, I am so sorry to hear about this misfortune..I don't know what kind place you live in, but are there many lights lighting up the outside? I know that some neighbors here have light that light up the window and doorways.. And other than getting an alarm system put in, do you have a neighborhood watch? If you have a trusted neighbor to watch your home, that will help too..(I helped watch a neighbors home and prevented a break in one time) Also if you can have a dog, they can alert not only you, but anyone nearby to a problem, plus the barking may just turn the robbers away from your home.. We recently had break ins in the area, but since suspected who was doing it, I knew that having a dog would cause him to not come near our home, and he didn't..

I take it that your home was burglarised, right? We have been burglarised three times. It happened to us twice in a storage unit and once at our home. We have installed ADT now but the smart thieves know how to disalarm it. We have not had any problems though. We like ADT and have used them for years now. I think they are the best to use. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. We lost several things too.

Oh my gosh Laura! I'm so sorry to hear about this! Are you renting or do you own your house? If you're renting, you could call around to different insurance companies about renters insurance however if you own then you'd need an alarm system. I would suggest ADT although I don't know much about them. However if you do own your home, then your insurance company should pay for what ever that was stolen. Bless your heart! Hope something gets done about it. My mom had three hundred dollars stolen from her one time and the stupid thugs tried to rob her again but didn't get anything but they did break my brothers car window and got a few things from there. Anyway, I wish you luck hon!
