Newest addition to the family

My brother came over a couple nights ago, and he had a very big suprise for my hubby and I. He showed me his cellphone and on it was a video of his wedding! This was a huge shock to me because I had very little knowledge of this event which happened not only two weeks ago. He got eloped. I believe the only reason he got married this way was because my mom would not have supported him.
When I was watching this video of his marriage, it almost brought a tear to my eye and a huge lump in my throat. I was so very happy for him, but also hurt that he never told me about it. I would have supported him and helped him any way I could. We've always been so close in confiding in each other with all sorts of times in our lives.

Same thing happened to me. My brother in law had this girlfriend (who later became his wife) who the whole family literally hated myself included. She talked bad about each one of us then when we confronted her about it she made the other sound as if we were lying to each other. While my mother in law was in the hospital for heart problems she was up there causing drama for the whole family. My husband and I were the first to know. We were at a card game one night and he called and told us that. When the family heard about it it wasnt pleasant. Now theres a child involved so we are trying to make things pleasant but shes being a ----- as normal

Well I guess I can't really complain when it comes to what you're going through. I know exactly how much hate you must feel when you even talk about your brother's so called wife. I went through the same thing as you are going through now except my brother didn't marry her, he just had a kid with her and that's bad enough, because we're still suffering from her B.S she always puts us through.
His wife now is at least tolerable and seems down to earth but I guess we'll see what happens.

aw..well congrats on your brother getting married. i'm sorry that you didn't get to be involved. did you tell him how you feel? i would let him know, so that he knows he has your support. he may not of realized he did.

Thank you very much. I did sort of kid with him by saying.. well thanks a lot for the invite! I'm sure he knew what I meant. He told me he may have a proper wedding next year.. I'll be going to that one forsure that's if he decides to have one :)
