I have just read from several members that paypal charges you a fee, well in a way they are right. Paypal charges a % fee if you have a Business ACCT or a Premier ACCT. If your paypal account is a personal account, you will have no fees to pay. If you do not have a business, a personal account is all you need to have. If you are being charged a fee by paypal, you have to check and see what kind of account you signed up for, just log into your account and where your name is, it should say under it Account Type:Personal, Account Type:Business, Account Type:Premier. You can change the type of account you have if it isn't a personal one. You can call them 1-888-221-1161 or Try this 1. Log in to your account. 2. Click the Help link. 3. Click the Contact Us link. 4. Under Help by Email click the Contact Customer Service link. 5. Select My Account Profile topic. 6. Select Downgrade Account in the subtopic box. 7. Enter your request for an account-type change. 8. Click Continue. Wait for up to 72 hours to reply. Note that you CAN upgrade again to a Premier or a Business account but once you upgrade a second time you will no longer be able to go back to a Personal account with that account.

I have a premier account. When you ebay like I do, you kind of need one. I don't really mind the fees because the fact is they are a time saver. Imagine how much longer it would take to do online transactions without them?

I used to always use a basic Paypal account until I had my own website and they made me upgrade it. I stopped running my website and practically had to beg them to take it back down to a basic one. the other accounts have large fees tacked onto them when you send and receive money. I hated that.

I think I must have a personal account connected to my online bank account as I have never been charged a penny. Its been very easy for me to withdraw mymoney from paypal and have it deposited to my bank account. with no problems at all.

I've got a personal and a business and it works for me. If I know someone has funds in their account, I have them send it to my personal account so there is no fee. When I was listing on eBay I gave my business account since you had no way of knowing if they had funds in their account or if it would come from a credit card or their bank, and you couldn't put in the listing which account to send it too. Works for me ...
