How many of you have read a book and reread it again and again because visiting the characters is like visiting old friends?
For me that book was Stephen King's The Stand. I felt like I really knew those people as I would know others in my community. I related to them. Perhaps it was because I could identify them with someone in my life.
What books have done this for you?

It is on my shelf at this very moment. What a wonderful book, and I marvel at how modern it seems even though it was written a long time ago. Your reply made me want to read it again, so you're the best response.

I'm like that with Little Women. I first read it as a child and it's a book that I always return to with a sense of nostalgia, happiness and comfort.
I'm the same with most of Jane Austen's works and Gone With the Wind also.

Well, you seem to have very good tastes. You pinged it pretty good with those three words..nostalgia,happiness, and comfort.
