Molly has brought me 3 moles since this morning. She leaves them right at the door and I almost step on them. So I take them a throw them out. Then when I look out theres another one. YUK. I told her thankyou but I already have something planned for dinner tonight.LOL Then Maggie her sister is just sitting out there on a chair like a big blob. Do your pets bring you presents?

Maybe you can rent Molly out to people who are plagued with moles. You'll probably make a fortune. Actually you are very fortunate. I see posts all the time begging for information on how to get rid of moles. And your pet obviously loves you very much to bring you these gifts.

I had a mole problem until recently. My cure is described below in my response. I don't need another critter killing or maiming the wildlife in my yard. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I'd have a heart attack if our cat brought moles to the door. Then someone else would have to trash them..lol Our cat is only an inside cat so the opportunity for her to get out and hunt isn't there. She's a mama's baby and won't leave my side. Sometimes I think she thinks I gave birth to her. Our dog is alao an inside dog and he only goes out long enough to do his business in a fenced in outside area. He's a small dog so he might think a mole was his relative.

Let's start with the mole issue first. Seems your yard is infested with them as mine was a few years ago. Moles thrive and eat on grubs in the soil. You need to kill off the grubs and the moles travel to another yard in search of them. I sprayed my yard with a product called MoleMax. It is great. There are many other sprays on the market just as good too. Spray the yard once in late spring then again in fall. I did that and have not had a mole problem. I still have a couple but not the problem I did have in the past. Buster is a hunter by genetics being a beagle. he came to me sitting on the back oporch once with something small in his mouth. I figured it was one of his toys. WRONG! He had a bunny and he had ripped it's rear right leg nearly off. I screamed like a little girl. he dropped the bunny and it ran off never to be seen again. That was so groww with the flesh pulled away and the muscles and all showing. Ewww! He hasn't done this since. That's probably because the rabbits all hang out front now where he can't get at them. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My cats now don't go outside because we live on a very busy street but a cat we had in the country used to bring me presents every day! She'd try to bring them into the house. My daughter and I used to sometimes "rescue" the little moles because they were still alive when she'd bring them onto our back porch. We'd catch them in a paper bag and take them down to the end of our yard. Of course, no doubt she got them again the next day and finished them off then! I've heard cats do that to show their appreciation to their owners - or I mean to their servants...lol! So we MUST be very grateful in return! Annie

awwwwwwwwww Molly sure loves you. Wish my kids would bring me presents. The only thing I get from them other than love is the reminents of their stomaches when they aren't feeling too good.

Awe she's just trying to prove she's the mighty hunter and that she loves you. Our cat likes to bring us little geckos. We have them running all over the place outside. He'll now and then bring one and leave it at our door. Thankfully it's not that often. We let him know he's a good hunter and give him lots of love. Then we throw the poor thing out.

That's all you can really do. Be glad it's just moles. When I was little we had a cat that brought home jack rabbits for my mother.

once in a while,if we get a house mouse, they'll bring me it,in exchange for praise.but usually it's toy mousies thankfully. i don't think the one boy will be catching too many more live mousies,he looked at me horrified the last time like "mommy, mousie went squish!" poor thing,he had no clue LOL

Hehehe--well maybe you have something planned for dinner tonight but maybe Molly is hinting she wants something besides her regular cat food? LOL Saw GRANDPA BOB'S suggestion about that MoleMax...if you do get it just be careful it might work for the grubs and getting rid of moles, but would it be safe with your kitties around??

LOL No, but my neighbors cat did. I would hear a scream out of nowhere. I'd laugh...gues susan (my neighbor), got a "gift" again. Her cat considered them an honor I think. All of my kitties are indoor cats.

My daughters cat is an indoor cat, so she keeps away all those pests..Though she has caught 2 moles since living here, but she didn't drop them off as a gift, she was just playing with it..We then took it off threw it into then woods..

My cat Maggie brings me small mice and sparrows. The mice she leaves right where I will put my feet by my bed in the morning, so I have to be careful. The sparrows she leaves at the front door then jumps up and rings the doorbell. Really strange. She watches for my reaction to see what I will do with it,so I praise her then when she isn't looking pick it up with a cloth and dispose of it. I know it is a gift so I don't get upset, some people don't like cats getting birds, but they are those English Sparrows that are depleting our own native birds so I don't mind, but how did she figure out the doorbell? ceciliah

i am slow here...what is a mole? my late dogs used to dig a lot and sometimes eat their poop. they bring in pine cones and wood pieces and rocks and discarded tennis balls and golf balls. sometimes bugs. bones. someone's discarded food. and fast food garbage thrown out.

I have had lots of cats and most of them delighted in bringing me presents. The worst one, though, was Elvis. He would sneak in all sorts of wildlife-snakes, bats, and even huge rats. They were all alive and he would put them in my closet for safe keeping. Thank goodness, we no longer have Elvis!

Moomin has a habit of bringing me little gifts, usually mice or the occasional bird if he can catch them. He tends to leave them on the kitchen floor, then sits there waiting for me to find them.

I'm pleased to say that my 3 year old cat Snoopy is not a hunter, he'd rather lay down and watch the local wildlife although he does love to bring me stray feathers which the birds have lost naturally lol. I much prefer it this way!!! Michelle xx

When I was growing up, our cats used to present us with birds, and mice mostly. My mom used to get really upset, and especially about the birds, as she loved them. I hope that you're able to get a product to alleviate the problem. My kitty is an indoor cat, so the only thing she presents me with, is the hairballs that she throws up.

moles - make a mess in the yard making holes in the ground
Yes I have one that used to bring me presents all the time but since we've moved, she's stopped for some unknown reason. She used to bring me birds, moles and mice.... YUCK! Now she doesn't go out much, I guess it's because she's getting older.

I use to have a cat named Pepper, well she was the queen of squirll hunters, she would always leave them right on the back stoop, so you step out and there is a squirll. I would always scoop them up and put them in the garbag out back. Well wouldn't you know it, she stopped leaving them on the stoop, and left them by the trash instead lol. Funny little Cat, I miss her.
