Mylot terms

Just wondering - how could the last 4 letters in Mainecoon be a violation. Just tried posting the last 4 letters, as us Mainecoon owners usually refer to ours by the last four letters c oons, same as we call the norwegian forest weegies. Why would Mylot find Weegie ok, and the other not?

Sadly the mylot filters are a bit weird at times. As the previous poster pointed out the term was at one time a derogatory term. I called my dad to ask where the term came from. Being he's in his 70's and sadly very bigoted he knew the answer. He stated it came from the fact that the eyes shined at night in the lights like a raccoons. I didn't say it was nice at all, just letting you know where he said the term came from.

Categories aren't made by mylot. They are made by the members. When you go to your interest sections it states right there: "If you don't see any you like, you can enter it in the textbox below the popular interests." When I first joined it was mostly just typing in your interest not picking from some there already. So that's why there is the interest even though mylot's wordage doesn't cover it.

It's not as common of a slang as it once was, but it's a derogatory slang towards black people. I'm not entirely sure what it's based on, but I've heard it used by older racist people.

Never actually knew that, but - by leaving a space between the c and the oon, Ive figured out how to use the word. Never thought it was considered offensive.
