Do you like hosting parties at your house?

My husband and I will be celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary by end of April. My mom insists that we celebrate the occassion by inviting friends and close relatives at our place. I am suggesting that we just rent out a function hall someplace, and get a food caterer. So we don't have to worry about cleaning the place up afterwards and worry about the food and everything. Most often, after parties, you get very tired entertaining and talking to guests. So tired to bother cleaning the house afterwards. I usally do the cleaning the next morning. Do you like hosting parties at your house? and why?

I host parties all the time. I enjoy cooking for people. I do hate to clean up afterwards though. But I am at least at my own home and we don't have to drive home tired.

Yap I enjoyed having a party at home, I enjoyed entertaining visitors and my kids are happy to have lots of kids also so they could play. Though you are right, Its very tiring preparing the food and cleaning the mess afterwards, thats why sometimes if you have enough budget, its also best to rent a function room and get everything catered. No because my mother gonna kill me for that if I do that. I like to hang alone in my house.
