Friend who does not talk to me

i have a big problem. My best friend had a row with me because of his girlfriend.Now he does not talk to me and ignores me all the time. Please help me what should i do should i forget about him that i ever knew him or should i try to patch up things and if how then !!!!. I will thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am looking forward to your answers

Sometimes people do stupid stuff, when sometime will pass he will come back and realize his mistake. And if he dosen't then he is the biggest jerk in this world because he will loose a friend who cares dearly about him.
