Do you respond to stupid topics just to get more money on myLot?

Discussions are funny things. You never know how many responses you will get. Some times your smartest discussions wont get many responses and some of our mediocre discussions get many responses. This leaves us a question. Do you respond to stupid discussions just bcos you want to get more money or do you choose the discussions that suits you? By the way is this discussion stupid?

No its not a stupid discussion. I dont respond to discussion that I am not interested with, why should I. Same idea with you, sometimes I am wondering why really there are discussions that are nice and worthy of having lots of comments and yet very few responses, but there are those worth not discussing with and yet with lot of responses. As Ive said earlier, I am with mylotting not only for the money but for the information, for the exchange of ideas and for enjoyment.

Hello there bro, first of all, I don't think that your discussion that you just started here is stupid. I think it is nice and funny - in a nice way, of course. Well, but what you said is true. Sometimes, topics that are not really of "value" do get a lot of responses. But the best part is if you analyze carefully, the "non-value" discussions started usually become more interesting as the responses come through because new topics might emerge from there and you will drag on the topics and stuff like that. That makes the discussion interesting and that's the whole point of mylot, I think: to mingle on, create more topics, more drift and more depth to the discussions started, answered and commented. I don't choose my discussions; I always try as best as possible to answer all of my friend's list discussions because I appreciate them starting a discussion and if I see something that I could contribute to, I would answer. But for topics which I really have no idea of, I just stick to reading like in-depth issues of marriage life which I might not have any ideas about; just a bare sketch. So, I would stick to reading. The answers here provided by mylot members are really meaningful, honest and most of them are very intelligent answers. It is a bit ironic, actually. Silly discussions ended up getting intelligent answers. So, that's cute and I'm fine with that, LOL. Have a nice day. ;)

Hi bro.I did not think of that. It is true that a discussion may get more interesting with the responses it gets and the sub topics in this. Thanks for your nice comments on my discussion.

I usually respond to topics that interest me or those which make me smile - and this one made me smile :-) It's amazing how many of the stupid topics get loads of responses isn't it.

Yes, sometimes I do, but it's not for the money...it's for the sake of sharing an insight or an experience. There are so many smart, serious and intelligent discussions here but sometimes there are topics that applies to you no matter how stupid or how crazy it can be. When that stupid question has a great impact on me, I would really respond to that, because if I didn't I might regret it later that I didn't post in it. It also helps that sometimes we do a little switch to the lighter side as a breather in our daily serious situations.

I don't! I respond according to my interests! When I see a topic,I may have a strong feeling to add some comments to it,then I respond.Sometimes, I do meet topics that are really easy to respond and thus, earn some money, but nowadays I don't comment on those topics. Well,by the way, this discussion is not stupid!

I only respond to discussions I feel I can contribute to. I have a hard time finding them at times...lol I can usually spot the people that answer just to make a penny, they usually just leave a line or two and it is something that has already been said five times... I first look at discussions my friends started and if I can't respond , so be it. If I can I will. As for this discussion, no I don't think it is stupid or I would have just passed it on by. My hope is that those that are only responding for the penny or two will know that we know they are doing just that and it may cut down on it, for a brief moment....lol Oh well I could just look at it as a response is a response...but sometimes and most times I am really looking forward to some information or honest feelings. Hope this helps, Blessed be, Mari

Thanks for your honest opinion. I really appreciate this. Ya, it is hard for me too to find a good discussion and i end up responding to discussions just for the sake of it. Good to know that at least you dont feel that this discussion is stupid.

I respond to those discussions only, which appeal me and where I find that I can contribute something. I do not feel per se any discussion can be termed as 'stupid', members are free to post any topic, it is for the respondents to choose. If any respondent feels that he/she does not want to reply, it is upto him. Your discussion has 'figured' in Mylot digest (therefore numerous response) so it cannot be said that your discussion is a stupid discussion.

Hi arjun999! First of all, I don't think your discussion is stupid. I answer a lot of my friends' discussions, some are silly and some are really something that you can learn from. I just try to respond to discussions that catch my interest most of the time. Just my thoughts. Take care and have a nice day! :)

I try to go with discussions that are well thought out or are of interest tome. I find if you go that route, then there is less chance that the discussion will be deleted and I'll lose my earnings.

No this discussion isn't stupid, I kind of like it. I respond to anything I can and have something to say. I am honest and I have to tell you, I am a member of mylot to make money. It is nice to have the added benefits of making friends and chatting, but the main thing for me is the money. I love money and the more I have the better. So yes I do respond to stupid and not so stupid, discussions just because I have something to say to it, so I can earn more money. Does that make me a bad person? I don't think so, I think it makes me an honest person.

LOL Honesty is a good quality. I myself try to not respond to stupid, totally pointless or hard to comprehend discussions though. It's just kind of pointless to me. Yes I'm in it for the money also but I have my pride, lol

Usually I can't bring myself to write a quality response unless the discussion is of interest; so generally 'no'. I would say, however, that this discussion is probably the exception.

Honestly, yes. Most serious or smartest discussion will not get many responses but for me, as long as the topic is interesting whether it is kinda stupid or not, I post my reply or comments! Sometimes, you will learn on those stupid topics or discussion. You'll never know! Cheers!
