i remember someone told me that banana contains fat ??
huh ?? i'm completely not sure about that, since banana is a fruit and fruits are good for our body since it contain lots of vitamins and minerals
i sometimes got hungry at late night, and often seek anything to eat in the refrigerator
fruits are always available here
my mother seldom buy snacks like chips etc
so i can only have fruits and fruits
my mom often buy papayas, oranges and bananas
i always pick bananas since it's easier to eat LoL..
i also know that banana contains the mineral kalium, which is good to prevent cancer ^^
but that's not the main reason actually
it's very troublesome to have papayas at late night, well oranges is also easier hehee, that i need to remove its peel first and then clean the knife.. bah, very troublesome LoL
so, is it true banana gives us fat ??

Bananas do not add fat but are very high in sugar content. therefore when u eat bananas in the night the sugar is not used up by ur body and is converted to fat. If eaten during the day, the sugar is burnt as calories for ur daily activities. so its always advisable to eat bananas during the day. For diabetics, bananas are an absolute NO due to their sugar content.

I think that if you will eat bananas you will never have an extra weight visible...because fruit contains minerals and vitamins thet help our body to 'burn' calories;)
About cancer..what can i say..hmm I heard that just 'thing' black from the front of banana is provoking cancer LoL.
So, eat bananas (or other fruit) secure;)

The person who responded before me is basically right. Bananas have a higher sugar and starch content than most other natural fruits. So, they should be eaten in moderation. They have about 100 calories which is about 30 to 40% more calories than oranges, pears, and apples. Whenever I eat bananas, I count them as two servings of fruit. I believe the weight watchers program does the same thing. If you have the kind of metabolism that I do that is sensitive to sugar, it might be wise to limit yourself.

Hi,Bananas are low in calories, as they contain only 100
calories. They are half the calories of most granola bars, and have one-third the calories of most muffins or bagels. Bananas are not high in sugar and have the same glycemic index as most all fruits. Scientific research reports no evidence that they will spike your blood sugars or increase fat stores. They are extremely low in fat, containing less than 1 gram of fat. They are loaded with
fibre making you will feel full and satisfied after eating them. One banana also adds 2 grams of soluble fibre, which helps to lower blood cholesterol.
Bananas are nutrient-rich. They contain vitamin B6, folate, and vitamin C and are potassium powerhouses. Due to all their potassium, bananas help lower high blood pressure and replace potassium loses after exercise. Potassium is necessary for proper muscle function in active individuals and athletes. And another bonus, bananas are an easily digested source of energy. Athletes
frequently peel a banana before a race for quick energy. In addition, bananas are high in magnesium, a mineral that helps bones absorb calcium.
Bananas are extremely portable, as you do not have to have a knife to eat them, or have to cut them up and put them in a container.
They can be eaten on their own, or can be added to smoothies, quick breads, cereals and even a curry.
Eat Bananas but watch the Extras
The review of the Provincial Nutrition Survey recently identified inadequate intakes of folate, vitamins B6, B12,
and well as minerals iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium and zinc.
We now know that most of us are “overfed and undernourished”. We are eating too much of packaged foods that is overly processed and low on the nutrient scale. We need to focus on nutrient-dense foods such as bananas that provide calories but also fibre, vitamins and minerals.
A healthy and well-balanced diet can provide the appropriate calories and nutrients needed to maintain a healthy weight or to lose weight. A diet rich in vegetables and fruits will also reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes.

I believe banana could put on weight if take lots of it daily as it contains sugar and starch. This compound of carbohydrates could provide much energy and building up our body as well. I believe banana doesn’t contain much fat but with much nutrients and vitamin. Most of us like to take banana as we could peel its skin easily without using any knife.

Bananas do not contain fat but if you would eat a huge amount of them they might make you gain weight. they contain all sorts of goodies that we need inorder to be healthy. I eat a banana a day just to keep from having leg cramps at night as bananas contain needed potassium which is good for you too.No fruit ever contains fat.

just make sure you don't eat the banana after your dinner at night, ok sweetie ? They say if you have a sworn enemy, then you offer him a banana after dinner :) Same with rice or any other starchy foods. They just won't digest and will turn into straight belly fat. But if you eat them in the morning (with cereal etc..) or afternoon especially before or after workout (like a snack), the same banana will turn into a real blessing to your health. This is because of the minerals in it like pottasium etc.. and it's toning effect on the muscles. Same reason why it's also helpful in controlling muscle craps as someone above has aptly pointed out.
And remember to eat organice bananas for max benefit and make sure you select them as green as you can possibly eat without creating any facial contoortions :) (Green ones have most nutrients and minearals and the least excess sugar plus lots more iron than those senile yellow ones :). You are such a sweetie, now take care.
