I love my dog and he has his bed and that is where he should sleep but the kids have a bad habit of letting him on the beds and they stink! Where does your dog sleep? do you let him on the beds or furniture? I think dogs should not be all over the furniture and have a comfy bed on the floor, now where did I put the fabreeze! LOL

Tina. If I read your post correctly you are complaining, I think, that your children smell and that is not fair on the dog. It most certainly isn't. Dogs are noble and sensitive creatures that should never be exposed to unsavory smells. be they human borne or otherwise. The kindest thing to do without a doubt is to encourage him to sleep on his own bed. Alternatively, you might consider moving the children to the floor and letting him have the whole of their bed. Poor poor dog.

My dog is spoiled rotten so he is allowed on furniture and on our beds at daytime, but he is not allowed to sleep in our beds at night. He always spends the night in his crate sleeping to reinforce the idea that his crate is his safe place, it's where he spends the couple of hours he has to be alone during the day cause he is unreliable alone if not crated.

Unfortunetly , My dog too will sleep in the bed with us if I do not keep her kenneled. I try to remember to put her in the kennel at night but 7 of of 10 times I wake up to find her in my daughters bed or my bed. I hate it because she ends up hoarding the sheets and the bed and I have to watch how i roll over so that I don't roll on top of the dog!

Well my Pomeranian is spoiled, because I don't sleep in my room anymore I'm always in the den. So, instead of my bed I sleep on the couch, and it used to be that she would sleep on the other half of my pillow that my head wasn't on, but now she decides to sleep on my stomach. I do find, however, that she does end up migrating towards my legs and feet. She 's spoiled...or she thinks she's human, one of the two. Or maybe both, I don't know.

I'm afraid my two are treated like royalty!
They have a massive basket, they hardly sleep in it. We always said we'd never let them get on our leather sofas - guess where they are sleeping right now? Yup, you guessed it.
During the night they sleep in my parents room (I have chinchillas in my room and a single bed) and they sleep on the floor, but move onto the bed in the end. Good job it's a king size one lol!
