we all know the benefits of exercise, but my question is did you exercise during pregnancy,my grandmother always said it helped with the delivery, and my husband and I would go for long walks every night.
According to harvard medical school: Prenatal exercise routines may improve your posture, reduce back pain, increase your energy, help your body prepare for labor, and prevent or control gestational diabetes.
did you exercise during pregnancy,
if you didn't and you could turn back the hands of time would you exercise?

Unless you have a high risk pregnancy, your an idoit if you don't exercise! It is insane to expect your body to function and maintain it's health and that of your baby without it. Not only will you gain less weight, but the weight you do will be much easier to shed after birth. Along with exercise you need to have a healthy diet. And not have the "I'm pregnant and can eat whatever I want." attitude. It's so frustrating to hear women complain about the weight they gained and the problems they are having shaedding the weight. Proper care of your self before, during, and after the pregnancy is all you need. Dont be lazy, eat healthy and you have a high chance of having no problems!

Hello! I always did! I think as long as you were already into an exercise routine, its ok to continue it, if your doctor allows it. My doctor did, and I just didn't do anything too strenuous or jarring, but I did do the stepper and other machines meant for cardio workout without physical exertion. Have a great day!

I am pregnant right now and I have been exercising (when I can). In my first trimester it was hard to get a routine down because of not feeling well or just being exhausted. No that I am in my 2nd trimester I have been working out every morning on our treadmill and using the weights on our home gym. I am loving it and it is making me feel so much better mentally and physically. I wish I could have started sooner.

yes dear i did exercise while i was pregnant..it's good. it also helps make me more awake, coz i feel lazy when i'm pregnant (got 2 kids already). exercising does help w/ the delivery as well. though it varies to each person but generally speaking it's making it more easier for your delivery, and definitely will do exercise when i get pregnant again ",)

I am on my 37th week of pregnancy now and I have been doing walks every morning and night as my regular exercise. I would have lots of leg crampings everytime I skip my walking routine. For me, it helps and will help me during labour. My doctor said I should have longer walks especially now that I am near my due. But i am also advised not to do strenious exercises anymore.

At first i decided to walk every morning, but later on, i feel tired and all i want is to sleep. I eat a lot and i gain 25 kgs. I have no regret because i study the breathing technique or yoga. This really helps me a lot during labor to ease the pain and it made easy for me to give birth. My neighbor didn't notice that i was already giving birth. Only midwife attend me coz even i have an schedule at hospital, i told to my mom that i can't walk. we never realize that it will only took about 2 hours and my baby is here. The only thing that i remember was i drink too much of water. put some oil of wintergreen or omega in my legs to avoid big feet.I eat whatever i like but i know that its all nutritious.

I never really thought about it until I've read that.
When I do get pregnant with my first, I can imagine a lovely walk would be lovely, and quite relaxing for myself at the same time.
I would like to adventure down to my local swimming pool, but I would obviously take it very easy.

I didn't do a whole lot in my pregnancies other than normal walking around and such and I do regret it. I didn't lose all of my pregnancy weight I would have it I had exercised more. If I could turn back time I would do it differently and if I ever have more kids I will definitely be doing more exercise lol

During my first pregnancy I did not get much exercise. Some walking, but I was not in a neighborhood that made it easy, and did not have anyone around to walk with. By the time I was pregnant again, I had an almost three year old, we swam regularly. I also took aerobics for awhile, walked, did water exercises and some floor exercise. In my seventh month I started using a universal weight machine. I definitely did better with #2 pregnancy. I had more energy and felt better all the way around. So if I could turn back the hands of time, I would change that first pregnancy to one where I exercised and was more energetic.

I really didn't exercise during my pregnancy but I did work all the way up until one week before giving birth. I got alot of exercise at work in shipping and receiving. I was always up and moving around doing something. I don't think it helped me though because it was my first and only child and I was in labor for 15 hours. I think I would try to do some kind of pregnancy exercise next time because it was very painful.

When i was pregnant with my baby... the only exercise that i did was walking... now i realized that i should have done more... like stretching or bending... since my body now is not the same as before my pregnancy... so next time... i will do like some yoga... and more light physical exercise... not only for myself but for my unborn baby as well...

I have had four children. I had gestational diabetes with every other child starting with the second one. I ate better with his pregnancy than the first because..well I had to!
The fourth pregnancy is really the only one that I went to the gym and exercised. I used to put the treadmill on incline and walk up it. I also did some inner/out thigh machine exercises. I also got gestational diabetes again.
Wouldn't you know that this would be the only c-section I would have out of four children? It figures.
The recovery was awful. I bounced back from the other three with no problem, but this time I hurt so bad I could hardly stand it!
I think I would have eaten better and added a little more exercise with my first pregnancy if I could do it over. Krispy Kreme was my nest friend during that one!
I say again, thank goodness I was blessed with a high metabolism. Sometimes I really don't deserve it!
