I would actually think that Liberals would love Bush. Take away tax cut, and being anti-abortion you got everthing a liberal would want. I know that ever liberal here on MyLot will say that it is the war in Iraq, but liberal believed in regime change long before Bush came to office. The Clinton administration had regime change in the works, just did not pull the trigger. It cannot be that he did not grow government fast enough, because he out grew Clinton. So in away Bush is more liberal than Clinton, since liberals believe in bigger is better. Both Clinton, and Bush believe in free trade so it cannot be that. Liberals believe in bending the Constitution to fit their needs so that cannot be the problem. So what is really the problem, liberals you got almost everything you wanted out of the Bush administration.

I think it has got to do with bad publicity. When the World Trade Center was destroyed news came out that Bush was the man behind that terrorist act and he just did that to get a reason to attack Iraq and have a good name.. His then attack to Iraq came in as another bad publicity..having young soldiers go to a war that wasn't supposed to be..Innocent people getting killed.. children.. women.. civilians.. Sometimes when you get your name in a bad publicity it ruins what other people think of you even if you showed something good or made an effort to. Oh well..Just hope he stops the war.

They hate Bush for two reasons. The first reason is Bill Clinton's impeachment... they are itching for some payback because the liberals got a black eye out of that deal. The second reason is because Bush won the election twice, and the liberals believe they are the only ones who have any right to rule America. As for the rest, other than the tax cuts and the abortion issue... the Bush Administration is merely a continuation of the Clinton Administration... and that includes NAFTA and so-called gay rights.... Clinton's solution was "Don't ask-Don't tell" which is the same as now. Actually the liberals don't have a whole lot to complain about, because we were going to Iraq regardless.... although the liberals will deny it.

In my opinion, any liberal is not going to like a politician with an R for Republican after his/her name. Liberals are going to vote Democratic and Consrvatives are going to vote Republican. Plus, there are alot of Republicans who don't care for Bush. I am one of these Republicans. Anyway, his stance on many issues are what deter liberals away from him. For one, the War in Iraq is definatley one reason why both liberals and consrvatives are fed up with the president. I believe that he lied in order to carry out a personal vendetta against Saddam. Saddam, did after all try to kill George Bush Sr. back in his presidency. Also, Bush has a stance on social issues that most liberals would look down upon. He is against gay marriage, he is anti-abortion, etc. Another problem is his views on economics. Durng his presidency he has cut taxes for the rich and cut healthcare for the poor. With acts like this, I don't see how anybody could be happy with him.

Liberals don't like George W. Bush for the following reasons: George Bush is a warmonger; liberals are generally anti-war. His social stances on gay rights, evolution, teaching religion in schools, a woman's right to choose. His tax breaks for the wealthy, his cronyism in regards to Iraq reconstruction contracts, his complete inability to respond to Hurricane Katrina, his unawareness of the situation down there, while people in the Superdome are dying of thirst and living in filth, he was patting his cronies on the back telling them what a good job they are doing. It took three days to get water to the Superdome for those people. Three days. The partisan firings of federal prosecutors, the inability for Attorney General Gonzales to respond to these accusations with anything but "I don't recall" only adds to the obvious guilt of this administration. And of course the poorly conceived, poorly planned, and poorly executed war in Iraq and the ineffectual war in Afghanistan which has left our country's greatest enemy free and easy in Pakistan. I should also mention he tortures prisoners of war, denies them legal counsel and due process, spies on our own citizens without warrants or evidence of guilt. He has watched out economy deteriorate and the value of our dollar plummet, so now it is worth little more then a Mexican peso. I don't see this as a liberal or conservative debate. FDR, Kennedy, Clinton were all liberals. Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan were all conservatives. There have been great presidents on both sides of the aisle. There are plenty of Republican/Conservatives who are fed up with him as well. George Bush is simply incompetent.

The main reasons I dislike Bush are that I am a liberal who is also gay, and Bush hates gays with a passion and does everything he can to push through anti-gay legislation at every chance. Also, I am a woman, and he has done much to hurt women's lib and continues to take an opposing stance on it. I believe women should have the right to abortion, to make their own choices regarding their own bodies. Also, liberals believe in having rights, and in the Constitution protecting those rights further, not taking them away as the Bush administration has done. If I were you, I'd take a more careful look at the beliefs of liberals before I go insulting them on a public forum like this.
