Today I had 2 clients cancel and that left my schedule open for the day. I did go to the office to do some work before going to my last client. The work day ended at 1:30. The sun was shining and the temperature was about 65 degrees!
Initially I thought I should go to the store to pick up some things that I have been needing to replace. But, as I strolled across the driveway to get to my car, the sun warmed my face and felt so good. I decided to head home.
Once home I was greeted by my hubby and grandson who had been outide since 12:15. My grandson had a half day of school. They were having a great time outside in the sunshine. I pulled up my lazy chair and sat with my face to the sun.
As I closed my eyes I could hear the birds chirping and the sound of my grandson's laughter. I was enjoying this small gift. What a delightful afternoon.

Sounds wonderful, what a nice surprise. Here in Ma we were over 70 and I didn't go to bed until 8am so I missed most of a beautiful day...lol Even now at at 10pm it is still 56 deg. outside... I did go out for dinner and we drove with the car windows down it was so warm...lol I missed out and now it's going to rain for the next two day...'sigh'

I had a day last week when I had to have a little dental work, but took an entire half day off. That refreshed my soul so much. It did not hurt anything that the sun was shining, too. Right now we are having rain again. April 22 I will get a whole day off my day job with just a few FREE medical tests given at my second job. I am really looking forward to that, as well.

Certainly sounds like the perfect day to me..I also got to be out in the sunshine..I did some raking and trimmed some bushes and then just sat on the front steps and enjoyed the sun..

That's like the other day, I spent 4 hours in the wonderful 60 degree sunshine. I worked on my garden. It didn't feel like 4 hours, but it was. Take care

what a beautiful day, we have dull dreary wet and raining days here, and it even snowed today. Very grey and tomorrow the same kind of day is forcasted,

Glad ya had a great day. It was raining and snowing on and off all day here in Minnesota. The temp was around 35 most the day. The winds up to 45 MPH. Slushy slippery icy roads and etc. So I had a nasty weather day. Typical for us here in MN huh? I was on myLot most the day. I am just glad I got my auction items picked up tdao instead of tomorrow.

That is great. I love to go outside and hear the birds chirping too. We live in a subdivision in the country and it is should be very quiet here, but it really isn't. We live right off of the highway and the truckers come through all of the time to the truckstop. Every now and then it is silent outside and we can hear the birds sing. I love those days. I am glad you got to enjoy your day also.

That sounds like a beautiful and relaxing way to spend the rest of a day. I enjoy being outside especially when the weather is nice as you said it was where you are. When it is like that it tempts me to put everything else aside and go out and enjoy the nice day.

What a sweet story. Sometimes it's the little things...
I enjoyed the sunshine with my little boy too yesterday. We drew on the driveway with chalk. We played outside. It felt great! Perfect weather, about the same as yours. Happy Spring!

That does sound like a wonderful afternoon. I took off early today, and I stopped to run a few errands and get my bills paid, and picked up dinner, to suprise my s/o. Normally he gets home 2 hours before me, however, today, he's running late. Figures huh lol. So, I guess dinner will have to be warmed up when he gets home, good thing I opted for KFC and not hamburgers lol.

That sounds like the perfect afternoon, to have some warm sunshine after the winter is a treat but to be able to sit in it and enjoy it like that is heaven!! No chance of that here for us, it is cold and it keeps hailing, snowing and raining all in one go, yuk!

Good for you! I am glad to hear you got to take advantage of a little down time and, didn't squander it by doing more work that could be done at another time. We all need a little break now and then but, in our society, we always feel like we need to go, go, go and work, work, work. Good for you for taking some time for yourself!
