Did you ever want anything special in your house?

So, I'm only 21 but I actually wanted my very own pool table in my house in the future. Now, the thing is, my boyfriend would be building his house in the future and I mean, if I want that, it would also be a decision we would have to make together.
So tonight I actually talked to him about having a room just for a pool table, an in-house bar, a small music system set up and a sofa for some comfort. He mentioned adding a gaming system in there..so I guess that would mean a TV of sorts and of course a console. Now this is all in one room and for personal use. I was actually quite delighted that he agreed as I see this as more expenses for when he has to build the house, as it would be an extra room added to the design. I mentioned this fact to him and told him since I was the one who came up with the idea I'd help him out with the expenses for that room (cause he doesn't want help, financially, from me to build the general house) I would just feel guilty for wanting this extra "play room" and having him pay for it all.
So is there anything you ever wanted in your house (even if it's just one fancy item) or to add to your house and opted to get it or not to get it for one reason or another and why?
Also, having this room won't be a problem to kids, we don't intend on having any.

We recently bought a new lounge suite that I have been wanting for quite sometime. Next thing I wouldn't mind is a full bedroom suite for our room. We have a king size bed but would like a headboard and a matching bedroom suite to go with it. Fingers crossed I have that for Christmas, if not, maybe next Christmas :)

Wonderful to hear that you got what you wanted and I hope you get the full bedroom suite as well. That will be a wonderful Christmas present.

Well Nice, don't worry about if it's just a dream. Sometimes dreams do come true! I like the idea of a pool on the rooftop. It's really nice. Personally I would never want a two story house, too much housework lol. Have a good one.

Well having kids really restricts me from having what I want to afford. If I could...I'd love a hottub and a jukebox. Maybe one day I'll be able to have those, after the kids are gone, and I put it on a list for my birthday one year when my kids have jobs and can buy it for mama!lol. Until then I'll keep it a dream.

I agree that having kids does restrict alot of things and sometimes not being able to afford it is a problem as well. I currently can't afford any of what I listed up there, but I am hoping by the time I get to 26-27 I'll be financially secure and stable in order to afford it. I do hope they get nice jobs so they can buy this stuff for you!

Yeah, just to have a room to display my collection of Lego, haha!~ And also my other collectibles - by that time I'll be buying Transformers but as for now, all this can wait till we have a landed property. An apartment is too small for all these :Þ

Yea, I agree an apartment is too small or a hassle if you ever have to move because of rising rent rate or something. The Lego collection sounds interesting, and wooo Transformers!
