How is this name--Sabrina? I have heard that Sabrina means magic or something evil. is it the truth? Others told me sabrina means teenage witch. is it positive or negative? I feel like a positive English name.
I have no idea whether I should change the name or not. I select this name just because a movie named "sabrina" which gave me a deep impression.I like the actress Catharine Hepburn who also acted the well-known movie "rome holiday". I appreciate her beauty from the bottom of her heart.
I feel this name sounds sweet.:) But if it contains something unpleasant behind I will change it.
Would you like to give me any suggestions about this name I selected? I will pretty appreciate for your kindness.
Many thanks in advance!

hi my friend,i seach for it and find three meanings of different origins.they are listed below:
The meaning of Sabrina
Origin: English
Meaning: Legendary princess.
Origin: Italian
Meaning: From the border.
Origin: Latin
Meaning: From Cyprus, or from the river Severn. In British legend,Sabrina was the illegitimate daughter of the King of Britain and was drowned in the river by her father's ex-wife.
it seems only the name meaning from Latin orign is kind of miserable.just for reference.

I don't know what Sabrina means per se, but I think it is a very nice name. I've known two Sabrinas and they were both beautiful people. People might just be saying that because of the show Sabrina the teenage witch.

Sabrina was the name of a princess in Celtic Legend. It's also a welsh river name. Sabrina does mean magic or evil. You have probably heard that b/c of the popular television series (my favorite show ever) Sabrina, the teenage witch played by Melissa Joan Hart!
