When you are frying up some lovely fresh eggs for breakfast - how many do you figure on making for each person? I always figure on 2 eggs each - and that seems like a reasonable number to me... but it never fails that everyone wants more, including myself. I feel like such a pig to eat 3 eggs, but my appetite, taste buds and family really would like if I'd agree to making more.

i usually make 2 also. sometimes when my dad was steelworking,i'd make him 3,but he was a big man and he'd be hungry later if i didn't.i used to make the "lace eggs" as he called it,where you cook it with heavy butter, and the edges would crisp?

that is the way my daddy made them for us (he was the breakfast cook in the house) he used the heavy cast iron skillet and those eggs would sizzle and crisp up around the edges, but still have the right amount of yolkiness in the center. I loved those eggs!

i used to used the skillet for eggs too,but he complained about the metallic taste (picky, picky) so i started using this metal coated copper one. i will say it cooks faster. ..but i prefer the skillet ;)

For us only one fried egg each will be enough. We dont want eggs really. But sometimes we take in bread and egg for breakfast if we will just stay home. But if we cannot consume it all, we dont want to eat the remaining portion. Eggs must be eaten hot and with something on it, either bread and yes rice sometimes.

I usually have two eggs for breakfast but have on some occasions eaten four (on toast too) LOL. My husband doesn't like eggs and my son only eats one egg at most.

Hi there, when coming to egg, it seems that everyone of my family is big fan of it, so I have to prepare two eggs for each of them. My hubby and his sister and I rather prefer to take fried eggs whereas my son and my nephew love scramble eggs. I was told that it is much healthier to take eggs in every other day, so we don't eat eggs everyday though they are delicious indeed.

All of us in the family like egg. But I count one for each of us if I have to fry egg. But we take more frequently, in the sense, usually twice a day. So its like two egg for each a day.

I usually make two for my husband, two for me. The girls always want one but usually don't finish it, then my husband will. Now if it is an omelet there is usually never any leftovers! LOL Now I want eggs for breakfast. LOL DH works right next to a Burger King so he is going to stop in and try one of their new breakfast burritos today, so I don't have to throw anything together for him. Guess I will make myself an egg sandwich.

Well, I don't often eat breakfast since I only take coffee. Though in some cases, I eat eggs. Several studies have recomended at least three to 4 times of eggs a week since it might be bad for health considering the cholesterol intake. However, some new studies indicate that the egg is not the culprit. Most people who are taking in eggs are also taking in other foods for breakfast like ham, bacon etc. These are actually the culprits. Now the American Heart Association has recomended that one egg a day, is okay as compared to the previous pronoucement of 3 to 4 eggs a week. A study was also published in the Journal of the American Medical Association the justifies one egg a day is okay. So I think if your taking in 1 to 2 servings and its not daily, then I guess its okay. Well, happy eating and I hope I was able to clarify the egg issue.

I am used to preparing only one egg for each member. If I see them enjoying it, I would them ask how many wants another or more...then I will cook again before they even finish with the ones they have. But for me, I always prepare two boiled eggs for my breakfast .

I do eggs for my husband evry morning and he loves three eggs.He likes fried eggs they are his favourite. I say to him just have two eggs ,but he says thats not filling enough for him . He like them fried on toast. But when you look at an egg its so small anyway. Theres nothing to it. They say that eggs are bad for you in large quantities.im not so convinced,if we took note of everything that was bad for us we certainly wouldnt eat very much at all. But not only do i fry a lot of eggs for breakfast .but i use a lot to bake and make batters etc. I wouldlove just to buy free range eggs.but they are not in my price range as a full time option.

bantum frizzle - this frizzle chicken is the cross between a silkie and a frizzle cochin
a few hens are easy to keep if you are permitted to have them where you live. even in an apartment you could keep a small bantum hen - like maybe a silkie and then if you are questioned about it - it is just an exotic land bird:)

I usually figure on 2 eggs per person unless I am serving the eggs scrambled. It seems like people eat more scrambled eggs than they do when they are served any other way. My family loves eggs any time of day!

I usually do two and I discard one yolk and add a little milk. That's my concession to healthy eating. I like them scrambled light so it still tastes pretty good to me this way.

we usually have one egg each because we have other breakfast foods on the table aside from eggs unless someone requests for another serving. at times we do omelettes so everyone can just dig in.

We usually have one each and we have other things as well like bacon and toast and tomato. It's a lovely big meal. Eggs and sausages and baked beans is yummy too.

I make two for each person, but then I am also making either toast, pancakes, or hash browns, and sometimes a couple of slices of bacon or two sausages. Therefore two eggs is more than enough. That really fills them up so that they can have a longer period until lunch and lunch will be very light. I do not have that much of an appetite unless we are going on a trip, then I sort of catch up.

It's usually 2 eggs per person, but I'll make more if they want. My husband loves omelette's, so I might use 3 eggs to cover all the chopped up veggies and meats. I could easily eat 3 eggs, but usually limit it to 2 since I don't need the extra calories.
