I am a thick woman and it's hard for me to find clothes that I will feel comfortable in. I think it's so wrong that these store cater to the small and "meatless". I want clothes that fit at a reasonable price. and why do they jack upo the price for the phat folks. I think it's time for all the big gyrls of the world to come together and change the fashion industry.

Have you tried looking online? There are a lot of online stores that have decent prices and the clothes arent hideous by any means...I experience the same thing you do but more so in the length of pants for me...I need a 36" inseam which is pretty much next to impossible to find in regular stores..Specialty stores that carry longs can run you an easy $60 - 70+ for one pair of jeans! Its insane! as for tops I do sometimes need to buy Plus sizes to "fit the girls" and I get frustrated because all the cute, pretty tops etc are NOT sized larger....for whatever reason the Plus sized clothes are actually hideous more often than not
I would check online seriously...OR take up sewing!...Altering clothes isnt that hard really..

I agree! Have you also notice that the larger sizes have terrible style? They don't seem to even try to make anything that makes a larger sized woman look stylish or pretty in anything that is on the racks. I think we need to have some good big girls start designing some great clothes for us larger sized women!

I hate shopping for this very reason. I can't find anything that I like that's in my size that fits comfortably and that is not way too far out of my budget range. I'm tired of having to pay twice as much as other women do because I'm a big girl. I demand respect and the ability to wear cute clothing just like other women do.

I agree with you even though I am short and thin.(Can't gain weight for anything.) I've noticed that as well and I think it's wrong that world tries to push the image of women being skinny as beautiful when everyone no matter what is beautiful. I have friends that are thicker than me and when we go shopping, all of the nice clothing is smalls and mediums then it's always on sale for dirt cheap but for them, the clothing even if it says its on sale cost about $30 and are made of weird materials or look really old fashioned with shoulder-pads and whatnot. It upsets me because that's not right and it should be changed.
