Well adrianspike! you are not the only here. I think i'm very similar to you, but with just one difference.
I believe in re-thinking and re-evaluating. And in this process, I've came across some discoveries about my potential and weakness. Things that I like to do and things I don't like to do etc.
When I was a child, my aims in life were always changing and even as an adult, I had no idea, what I want to do with my life.
But I never stopped trying and thinking about stuff and opportunities. And believe me it was never easy as it may sound to you. I've stated about the whole journey of my findings and struggle in few lines, but it was more about mistakes and failures. I don't remember how many times I failed to do things, but even than I never stoped trying.
Infact I still use this re-thinking strategy. And do you know where did i learnt this thing. From our president pervez mushraff. He is a fighter, and always have so much to inspire other.
You are only 27 years old, and it's never too late to turn the ball. Just start taking your life seriously and things will clear to you with the passage of time.
Good luck with your life.

No offense man, but I think the 1st thing you need to do is grow up!!! Haha!~ :) You're already 27 & you say when you grow up? Haha. It's good to start work somewhere to gain the needed experience but it's even better that you're already thinking of your future. I'm 26 years & I got my own IT company registered 3yrs back when I was 23. One should move from an employer up to become a self-employed. But life is such that one should not become stagnant. So after the self-employed you can still go up to become an owner, later owner of businesses, investor, philantrophist - live to give away ;) Have you tried out eBay? I'm into eBay as well - think of it as a virtual shop you own that can earn u real money :) Build multiple streams of income.
