What makes an individual different from others???????

Sometimes I wonder what makes an individual different from other people. I often ask myself is it about their upbringing, their values or things or persons that may have affected their lives???? Well up until now... theres no certainty on this question i asked myself of. Can you shed a light on this??? Perhaps your opinion could help me understand people around me.

well the answer depends on the question you ask?do you want to know what makes a person good or bad?or is it what makes a person intelligent and smart?in all these case answers will be different.if it's a good person you're talking about a lot of it comes from the kind of environment he has been born and bred up in.it also includes his social background and the kind of values he has been with and the influence it has had on him.some people with exceptionally good and honest families grow up to be nasty and mean individuals so it all depends on what the influence has been in your life.

thanks for the response... to be more specific i just want to understand what makes an individual good or bad???? I know several factors may affect an individual but what interests me is that how could one differ in assimilating these influences in their lives.Which may turn out to be a good or bad result after all..
