What is the best way to dispose of RATS caught in a mouse trap?

What is the best way to dispose of live Rats caught in a mouse trap??? (1)Do you flush it in the toilet? (2)Do you kill it by dousing it with hot water? (3)Do you feed it to the cats? (4)Do you freeze it in the fridge? (5)Do you electrocute it? (6)Do you torture/kill it by putting it under the sun? (7)Or you let it go near your neighbors house? Common guys and gals, I need your input... (I have already done 1,2,4,5 and 6)

You should actually use a live trap such as havaheart and release it at least 3 miles from where it was caught. All of the suggestions you have up are cruel and inhumane!

You can also take it to a nearby animal rehabilitation center.

I had a mouse once . I don't know how it got in my apartment and i stalked it for 2 days. When i finally caught him i felt sad for it and couldn't kill it or any of the choices you post. I let it go outside ...to find a new home :D ...but not near my neighbour thou she desreved it!
