Hillarycare has been exposed for what it really is; government controled and regulated health care! In the following article you will find the reality of what Hillary wants for America. Hillary, if you want socialism, or communism, please, by all means move to Russia! It has been proven over and over again that socialized health care just does NOT work! But don't take my word for it: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ucmg/20080408/cm_ucmg/hillarystalltalesabouthealthcare;_ylt=At197Av2ZRmUgQBXCQAvpjU__8QF I honestly don't believe this is what this country needs, do you?

It is not the government's job to provide healthcare, just as it is not the government's job to oversee education with a bloated and failed system like the Department Of Education, or to institute a government retirement system like SSA, or the many other unconstitutional things that have come out of D.C. over the years. We are not a socialist nation, although the liberals are trying very hard to turn us into one. Some of us have been talking about the downside of socialized healthcare and how bad it would be for a while now, but the liberals are flat out determined to ruin our country even more than they have already.... and there are plenty of people out there just waiting for the next government handout, blissfully unaware and uncaring that each one is another strike against our independence, our freedoms, and our individual rights. The more dependent we become on the government, the more control over us the government gets.

That is the logical progression. The next thing you know the people have no power and no rights other than what the government allows, and then the nation falls into some sort of fascism. Way to go all you liberals.

And to add just a little to that Destiny, The more control the government exercises over its people the weaker they become as a nation!

McCain's solution to health care is to send all people off to war and either die and not need healthcare or if you are lucky enough just to get injured the military heathcare may help and send you to the Walter Reed substandard hospital!

I will say this that if I have to make a choice between two candidates, McCain or Obama, I will take McCain. I honestly believe that McCain and Clinton do have our country's welfare at heart. Obama is to me nothing more than a lying racist who is is becoming blacker every day while ignoring his white privileged background now that to me spells a terrible future for our country. I shudder to think what his hidden agenda is for the future. BTW I do enjoy your discussions... what a relief to find a discussion that does not just ask me how the weather is where I live!!

I must say I have to agree with you there! If it were a choice between Hillary and Obama, Hillary would get my vote in a heartbeat. With ever excerpt from his book "Dreams of my Father" that I read I see more and more just how entangled in racism he is and I have put this book on my list as a "must read" educational book!

Whiteheather, I can see I have hit a nerve by your comments in this and the post in my other discussion today. Tell me if you will, just how good of a grip does Hillary have on the ins and outs of the economy when what she proposes will not send us into a recession or depression but will totally bankrupt this nation? You think Iraq has cost some money? Hillarycare will make that look like chump change and the sad part is the very people she targets for this "revolutionary" system are the ones that will be hurt the most by it! As far as the war and McCain, he is just saying what the democrats like Obama and Clinton won't say and that is we will be there until it is done, period! They won't say that now because it would hurt their chances to get elected but put one of them in the Whitehouse and it will become a different story altogether!

Hillary wants to be our mother and take care of all of our needs. I don't need or want a mother for a president. She obviously hasn't heard the complaints from Canada about their health care.

Whatshername, I believe she has heard them but she is just arrogant enough to believe her plan is better and will not end up that way! If people believe the economy is bad now, let Hillarycare become law and see how bad the economy can get!

Canada may have its problems in terms of wait times and people frivolously using the emergency room for non-emergency treatment, but at least we know that we won't lose our homes if we get sick. I grew up in the States, and as an adult, because I was part-time, I didn't have health care through my work place, but didn't make enough to purchase it on my own. My son got pneumonia and was hospitalized for a week in an oxygen tent. That cost me $7000. How long do you think I had to work to pay that off? Here, if my son or I get sick, they swipe our health card and we're treated. My husband, who is disabled, gets surgeries and treatments that would cost tens of thousands of dollars that I could never afford to pay if we lived in the United States. We pay a premium too, of course. It's called taxes. But I'll happily pay higher taxes to live in Canada and know that we'll be taken care of if we get sick, rather than pay little to no taxes in the States and risk collection agencies or worse because I couldn't afford to pay high medical bills.

No matter how she dresses up her healthcare plan, it's still going to come down to you're going to have to pay a premium, even if you can't afford it. That's what I'm not understanding about her "plan". I know people whos only income is social security disability... my own mother for example, receives 480$ a month. She's 100% disabled. She's not only expected to be able to live on that, but in addition, if she wants "healthcare" she has to pay for medicare, to the tune of 130$ that would come out of her 480$ per month, leaving her a whopping 350$ to live on. Fortunately, she has an extra house that she rents out for an additional 250$ a month. She doesn't have medicare because she flat out can't afford it. We have to come up with some solution to the healthcare crisis, but I'm not sure any of those in power can come up with a suitable solution. Please tell me this.... when a person can go work for a company and pay 70$ a month combined for dental and medical insurance through their work, why can't our government come up with a "company" healthcare plan like regular businesses? There's got to be a solution somewhere!!!

I believe there may be some middle ground out there although I will not presume to be creative or intelligent enough to figure it out. The bottom line is, even if we get the same coverage as say the government employees this still costs the family money and most of the time it is money that the family just can't afford! Then, even if the Govenment subsidised the premiums there would still be the deductables and co-pays to deal with! There are so many holes in Hillary's plan it looks like swiss cheese!

Ocean3, Agreed, Hillary is a wannabe but Obama has his issues with the truth also. He is also at odds with his heritage. He can't decide if he is a rich white/black or a victimized black/white. Sometimes the truth hurts!
