Sometimes I called to my best friend, but don't know what to talk with her.

I'm not one who could make friends quickly and easily. So i treasure every friend of mine, especially those best ones. I acquainted with one of my best friends when i'm ten, and studied at the same class throughout middle school and high school period, and then went to college in the same city. We used to be very close and talk each other everything and i felt very relaxed being with her. But after graduation, we got jobs in different cities. From then on, we communicate less. Although we still care much about each other, sometimes when i called her i don't know what to talk. This bothers me much. Have you ever had such experience? what should i do?

Thank you! But what if we don't have the same interests? for example, she likes cartoons and playing cards on internet, but i don't:)

Ask her what she's been up to--everyone likes to talk about themselves! If she says not much, ask her how the weather is, what she's been doing outside, how is work then if that doesn't open her up tell her a funny story about someone at your workplace. That'll probably remind her of someone at hers and there you go!
Sometimes it's hard to communicate when miles separate you. It's not that friends don't love each other, it's just that the day to day dynamics are lost and you must start all over again to become easy and open with each other.
