Trying to get ranked in top ten Q & A

Help!! I'm trying to get a high ranking in the question and answer topic in myLot, not for any real reason just wanting to prove I can do it.
Everyones help is much appreciated.
Just to add a question, do you receive more responses the higher the ranking in any topic, if you answer this then it may help me find the answer.

I am really new here so I cant answer any questions. I still have not figured out how to get an avitar on here and I keep trying. I dont even know how we make money doing this. Is it by how many questions we answer? is it by how many disccussions we start? Here is hoping that this post helps in your numbers... Good Luck.

I really do not know what it takes to get a discussion ranked as a top discussion here on Mylot. I do not really think that it has anything to do with the number of responces, because some I have seen there did not have that many responses. But good luck to you on yout quest any way.. Hope you get a top discussion soon..
