can religion saved you?

I don't believe that religion can save us. there are actually hundreds of religions that says they are the true ones that if you join them you will go to heaven. What i believe is that Jesus alone can save us. He is more than enough to save us form our sins. Our faith in Jesus that he is our savior and Lord can already save us. Our good actions is the way we show our gratitude to our God.

Only the Lord Jesus can save you. Religion can't. Religion only demands that you do this or that. Or you should not do this or that. Religion is just all about what is right and what is wrong. But the Lord Jesus supplies life and he came that we may have it abundantly and that we may not perish, we who believe into Him. Jesus demands that we be perfect but he also gives us the bountiful supply of His life to meet that highest demand.

religion can not save you, it is your faith that will save you. there are a lot of religion in this world and there are no specific religion that can save a person. it is how strong your faith in God is. how you relive your life as like our Lord wants us to be.

I don't think we can call anyone Christian if he or she does not believe or follow Jesus Christ. (Although I know of a sect here in our place which calls themselves a church of Jesus but does not actually believe that Jesus Christ is God and as savior; but you know, that's another story.) If one is a Christian, you must embrace the fact that your belief in Jesus Christ - as Lord and Savior - can merit your salvation. That's a corollary. And I don't think we can ever separate the Christian belief in Jesus Christ with the timely question of salvation. They are always two sides of the same coin I guess. What you may be referring to, I can only surmise, is when a belief in Christ is practiced in a religion where the focus does not seem to be about Christ but about other else such as Mary, or the Saints, or the traditional novena, or rosary, or practices that do not really tell something about Jesus. I am not sure if you are referring to these as aspects of religion that seemingly has "nothing to do with Christ." Well pal, I am not here to argue anything about the stuff which I wrote at the preceeding paragraph. I think it entails new bouts of discussions to actually tell you that the Christian religion (as a type of worship) actually is about Jesus Christ all along. (Because I am not sure if you're whole premise is directed as a way to confront the Catholic faith because most attacks to Catholicism actually take on the arguments that you just mentioned.) It has never been about any other else, nor about any other gods. Christian religion, I can only claim, should and must profess that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior in order for it to be a type of religion that believes on Christ.

Nope, religion can never save anyone, only Jesus Christ can as He said so Himself - He is the Way. Well, so follow His way, that's the only way. Christians actualy mean - little Christ.

You are right about the word/term Christian, it really means the people who are following christ and his teachings or doctrines. Something I would to correct about the term religion, for so long time religion seems to be mistaken and commercialized by many people, if you ask them What is your religion? mostly they or maybe even would answer Im a Christian, Catholic, Born Again, Baptist etc... Since you've said that you are a Christian, let us ask the one whom a Christian is following; Christ. According to His teachings on James 1:27 "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.", with this verse from Christ's apostles whom He taught the meaning/definition of the term/word religion. We cab clearly understand that religion is a way of life "Charity and Holiness" for short. So definitely if you are following Christ you are a Christian and religion/way of life is "Charity and Holiness". Pardon me for my poor english grammar, its not my native tounge. Thanks! God Bless
