Would you quit a job that you have had seven years but absolutely hate going to eaveryday? You have extra money and would like to start your own business and go to school for MBA. Would you do it?

As long as you have Money to support yourself, and maybe someone who's going to be in your cornner. then you could go to school.

Who hasn't had a J.O.B. (just over broke) where they hated going to everyday but the bills are still there?! If you have a lucrative business plan on starting your own business then shoot for it. However, quitting your current job is not going to make you feel any better as you will not have the same financial resources coming in to back your business until it generates enough revenue to quit. It is still your decision, but I would look further into it prior to making a hasty decision. Good luck! Mo'

Great answer. I said the same thing. He is very smart. He has an AS, a BS in Math, an MS in Math Ed, and currently studying to get a MS Certificate in Executive Inforamtion Technology, will complete in December and has filed an app to start on his MBA, so I told him that I would support him no matter what.

If I had the money, in a heartbeat. I could barely last a year at the one job I couldn't stand, but pregnancy took care of that for me!

Thanks for replying. You can still have a business. Think of a business that you would love to start and remember you have to love or like what you are going to be doing and Babies are BLESSINGS. Things will workout just you wait and see. Keep your head up! Look to the hills!

If you were working for Money then i dont think you should quite the job until and unless you find a better one. But if you are looking for satisfaction in the job then yes you need to find a better job and quite this one. Starting a business is not a joke and neiter a pice of cake. you need a lot of finance and a lot to strength and confidence in your self to go ahead and start with the business that you want to. My advise will be do your MBA, then may be your career path might change... All the very best!!

Well, I was asking for a loved one because I already have a business, so I just thought that I'd ask to see what others outside of family may think. No, having your own business is not a piece of cake. I'm here so that explains that but thanks for your response.
