Religious song on Idol

Nothing wrong with that. Some people won't appreciate it because they are not used to religious music or just don't believe in religion. Everyone has an opinion. I gather you're friend was one of those that is botherd by religious songs. It didn't upset me, I say whatever makes you feel good, sing it.

I think it's fine, sure it's a different religion but I think you should be allowed to like it. This includes singing about it.

The problem I see with it is not everyone is religious and not everyone is christian. I think you can easily offend a lot of people by only picking a song by this group. I think it would have been better for the show if they had kept religion (i.e. spiritual songs)out of it.

It didn't upset me at all. I thought it was wonderful that they sung this song. I really enjoyed hearing them singing something christian myself.

I believe the whole reason for the Religious song was because it was "Idol Gives Back" week.

I don't think anyone should be offended just because it's a Christian song. It's a singing show anyway and the contestants' talents are being showcased, so it doesn't matter what they sing. Those who don't like it need to loosen up. It's just a song.

I think there is nothing wrong singing those religious songs as long as you mean it in your heart and that it's true in your life. What's wrong may be singing a spiritual hymn but it's not true in one's lifestyle!
