Do you believe in Love at First Site?

I do because it happened to me. I fell IN love with the man I am with now the moment he stepped out of his car and we made eye contact. It was right then and there I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with this man. When we kissed for the first time my heart skipped a beat and he took my breath away. We have been together for over a year now and my love for him grows each and every day more and more. He still knows how to take my breath away when he walks into a room or kisses me and I get so lost when I look into his eyes.

I don't think its possible.
Me and my girlfriend took the saying we were in love very seriously and we had discussed this from very early on, to only say it if you mean it, or are very drunk then its ignored.
It took quite a while then she said it to me when she was staying round mine one night, I can't say I have ever been so stunned in my life, other than when about a week later maybe when she said something about us losing our virginity.
Maybe the idea that love at first site is possible will grow with time, but I first met her outside a loo that hadn't been cleaned for months that was at a mates house. I kissed her that night then didn't even speak to her again till about 6 months later, having kissed her and one of her best mates in between.
So sorry to be a party pooper but I think no its something you got to work on and you got to take a lot of rough at times and when you do you reap the rewards.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and views on things. I appreciate your response and you weren't a party pooper. I really hope that one day you experience what myself and others have with the love at first sight. I just can't stress enough what an amazing feeling it is.

I must say I hope I don't.
As I am still with my first girlfriend and if I am never falling in love with anyone else then that means this has gone damn well, much better than anyone around us expected and even more so better than I expected, I thought I had ruined it after a month, then she had ruined it after about 3, but since then we have fallen in love and shared so much happiness.
So although yes it might be great, I am happy with the love I have in a different way and don't want to change it just yet.

From what I have observed, it seems as though the only ones that truely believe in love at first sight are the ones that have fallen in love at first sight. I wasn't a believer in it until it happened to me. It really is an amazing feeling!

I too have had the pleasure of love at first sight. The first time that my husband and I first made eye contact I told everyone that we would be married and we were only 1 year later. We are still in love as much today almost 8 years later if not more.

Definitely. Sometimes it doesn't even take "sight" - I fell in love with my husband online - seeing him for the first time just confirmed what I already knew, I loved him.

That is great. I met my boyfriend online and had developed very strong feelings for him in the short time we had talked online and on the phone before we had actually met. I only knew him for about 1.5 weeks before we first met face to face.

You aren't falling in love with their looks. It is this connection, this feeling that just comes over you when your eyes meet. It is hard to explain, but once you two do talk and get to know one another it just confirms that you truely did fall in love with them when you saw them.

Although my husband and I started out as friends first, there was something kind of magical when I bumped into him at work. I can't really explain it and I didn't know that he would end up being my husband, but in a way it WAS love at first site, yet I just didn't realize it until later.
