Nowadays there has been an increasing population of SOHO generation, which refers to those people who works at home by means of computers, faxes machines, Internet and other advanced technology. Compared with traditional ways, SOHO is a totally different way to make a living and has formed a strong challenge to traditional ways since it can bring us many benefits wanting by traditional ways.Working at home, we need not pay much attention to our clothes. Instead of wearingthose formal and uncomfortable uniforms, we can wear as freely as possible, even thepajamas. We need not make us up or shave the beard, even not wash our face if welike. Polishing shoes every day is unnecessary since a pair of slipper is enough.And working at home, we will not suffer from the painful experience of squeezing into thecrowded bus every morning with sleepy eyes. The traffic will not be held up in the rushhour, or perhaps there will be no rush hour at all. Then the time spent on the commutebetween home and office can be saved, and we will have more time to stay with ourfamilies, sharing their feelings and discussing their problems. Furthermore, without bearing the dull and depressive environment in the office, we canchoose the fittest place to do the job. A room solely for the work will be the best because we can leave everything we are working on right where it is instead of cleaning them upevery day, which will both reduce the trouble and save the time. If we can not provide aroom, a corner in the bed room or balcony s also preferable as long as that place canmake us feel good and keep a high spirit which, obviously, a guarantee of the highefficiency. In short, SOHO can reduce our troubles, save our time and improve our working efficiency, but the most importantone is that we can enjoy the life while makinga living. Through this way, we can do better in balancing our work and life.SOHO, I believe, will be more and more popular in this digital era.
