Katie Couric Leaving CBS?

I heard some rumors on the radio and TV that Katie Couric was considering leaving CBS for some reason. I also heard she was offered a spot on CNN and maybe her own talk show? Does anyone know anything about this? I know lots of people don't like Katie for some reason, but I never understood why. Does anyone else know why?
