I feel like I am an ok friend. I mean, when my friends and I get together, I know we are ok, the thing that bothers me now is lately I needed someone whom I can talk to or just someone from my set of friends who will listen to me... Oftentimes, I do listen to them... a sounding board of sort... and I am afraid that I am tired of listening... it's like I want to have a role reversal, and that they would listen to me or just let me babble about what I have in mind... Gosh! I sound so pathetic!!!

I don't think you are pathetic. I feel the same way you do.I think I am a pretty good listener too and tries to advise friends about their problems. But it seems that when I need a listener...they are all busy with their own lives. If you wanna talk...I am all ears. www.pinayjade.com

Hello! Thank you so much for the offer. I might be grabbing it soon! Hahaha! Anyways, I just hate it when for example friend A would cry over stuff and I would try to provide her some suggestions and when she is done with the unloading of stuff, she would tend to just let go of you just ;ole that. Gosh! Anyways, thanks jade. I am also hear to listen. :)

It seems like you're friend is just a bit egoistic, they don't consider other's opinion for they believe they are than you(?).. Would be good if you don't mind them at all, at least you did your part as a friend and it's their fault if something not right happens to them in the future.

i can understand how you feel. i listen to everyone complain and etc too but yet i have no one that will listen to me. i mean my husband will but that isnt the same. my friends at work are always coming to me with there issues but when i have one they seem to keep talking about themselves so i gave up on that. you can rant here anytime we listen and even respond lol

You don't sound pathetic, this is perfectly reasonable. I happen to be that same person in my group of friends, and if you let this go on, sometimes the friends forget that you have problems that you need to talk about too!!! The best suggestion I have is to let your friends know how you feel, then take a step back to see who will come forward and listen. If a friend tries to brush you off in some sort of way, then that really isn't a friend at all. Friendship is supposed to go both ways.

Hi there tryxiness! Maybe you should just go ahead and talk to them. I think that's what friends are for.
