Hi bustal...There are alot of people in America that keep their dogs outside too!..I don't..I prefer to have them in the house with me..They are an extension of our family just like a child..I would say it all has to do with where people live..I like to have my pets inside...It is just the way it has always been...I think dogs will eat anything that someone gives them..I feed mine dry dog food...

We have two dogs...one is a japanese spitz, the other one is a german shepherd. We keep the smaller jap spitz tied at the back of our house. A few feet away is the iron cage of girlie, the german shepherd. We feed both of them dog food because it's more convenient.

I hope you mean raw chicken bones! Cooked bones are dangerous for dogs as they can choke on them. In Australia some dogs sleep inside, some sleep outside. It really depends on the owners. I think Australia generally has a warmer climate than America so it's ok for dogs to sleep outside as long as they have warmth and shelter. I don't have a dog at my house but in the future I hope to get a pug. I don't want to spoil my dog but at the same time I won't make him sleep outside. I'll probably set up a little bed for him out in the living room.

My dog is an inside dog. The only times he's outside is when I am outside with him. There are also people who keep their dogs outside all the time here, but inside dogs are much more common and it is in fact illegal to keep dogs outside. There are only two breeds that are excluded from that law because they can tolerate the sometimes rather extreme weather we have due to their weather-proof coat, but they all need to have adequate shelter (like a very well insulated and heated doghouse), fresh water and food available at all times and lots of human interaction every day. Personally though, I can't stand to see dogs live outside. Dogs are social pack animals and need to be with their pack, and since they're nowadays domesticated, they consider you to be their pack members. Shutting them out from their pack is nothing but cruel and irresponsible.

Our dog sleeps outside and inside depending how hot he gets, we feed him dry dog food mixed with gravy and he sometimes has bones good for his teeth.
