About five months ago or so(don't really remember exactly how long ago it was)I got an everex computer(because i knew nothing about computers at the time)and now my power cable has started giving problems(when you move the chord a certain way it will charge the battery and when you move it another way it wont)and i know that it is the chord...and i looked on the website(the everex website) and called everywhere i know and they don't sell that namebrand...so i was looking into it and i found out that you could get a universal power cable and that should work...but do you think that it will for sure before i bought it? And if so what kind will i need if you know...thanks

Hi JHL930....i constantly keep having problems with my computer too....it isn't a laptop though...so i can only imagine your frustration at having bought something and then having to find out that something doesn't quite work! Anyway.....i did a few searches and as i understand it, a universal cable comes with multiple tips so they can be used with different kinds of laptops. But it is possible that it might not have the tip for your specific laptop, although i think it's highly unlikely a possibility given that charger tips are really small and manufacturers generally try to cover lots of brands. And after some more searches i found out that there are lots of companies that manufacture universal power chords...so it's very likely that you will find one that works for your laptop. You probably will find one in an electronics store.....And one more thing...i don't think you'll really get much info on the net because most of these companies seem to supply only within their country....i think your best chance at finding one is the largest electronics store you can find where you live....

Better check the rating of the AC adapter, its normally at the bottom, for input/output Voltage/Amperage and plug sign (the three small circles with + () -) make sure that it match your original. And of course check the wires for disconnections. good luck
