Do u like pickles?

I am not one to make home made preserves or pickles, but someday I might just do that. It does taste better than store bought foods.

I think it is us Indians are very known for pickles. Most of the vegetables are made into pickles in our place as also fish and meat. Prawn pickles are very famous in Kerala. Kerala is the land of fish and we have lots of varieties there. But I have not made any Non vegetarian pickles till now. I prefer lime and mngo pickles. I love ginger, tomato and garlic pickle also. I keep changing from one variety to the other. With curd rice they taste yummmmmmyyyyy....

Yes, Valatha, I too belong to India and lo mango season have come, and here comes the yummy maavadu, mango thokku, aavakkai. I store it for almost an year. My stock really gets over even before one year as both me and DH are lovers of pickles, especially any pickle made of mangoes.
