Should the west interfere with the way other nations are run?

We have a situation where the Iranians are developing nuclear enrichment programs and the countries of the west are jumping up and down trying to stop them.
What next? Will the west again invade a country simply because it doesn’t agree with it’s policies or government?
How can the countries who have nuclear capability tell another country that they cannot have the same right?
Would it not be better for the nuclear capable nations to lead by example and scrap their own nuclear weapons so that there is no longer a need for them.
It’s a “mines bigger than yours” syndrome that the world can do without.
The west states that these nations cannot be trusted with nuclear weapons but at the end of the day only one nation ( from the WEST) has actually used them in anger.
Lastly, what has happened every time the west has invaded a country because it disagreed with it’s policies?
In every case the people of that country have ended up worse off and the cost to the invaders has been astronomical.
What do you thin? Should the west interfere or live and let live?
Can the countries of the west be trusted any more than others not to abuse nuclear weapons?

That's something I've been wondering for years - who are WE to tell other nations they can't protect themselves again...US? That's really what it comes down to, isn't it? We threaten them then we tell them they can't have the same type of weapons we threaten that we'll use on them if they "cross us" but if we put ourselves in their shoes we'd realize they'd have to fear we'd "Nuke first and ask questions later" if we have a President crazy and arrogant enough to do so and think he's right. Also, it's one thing to get involved in other nations' business for humanitarian reasons but let's face it, we can't possibly overthrow every "evil" dictator in the world, we don't have the money or the manpower to do it so I think it's time for us to learn to mind our own business.

Yes, alot of us non Americans have noticed that the USA likes to pick fights with people who cannot fight back. For example, Bush invades Iraq on suspicion Sadam has WMD. Now there is alot of noise about how he may invade Iran because Iran may have the ability to develop nuclear technology.
However, Kim il Jung of North Korea says he has a nuclear bomb and actually test one just to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that he has a bomb and the willingness to use it and guess what - let's negotiate with the Buffon who has developed a personality cult that makes Sadam seem normal and has no qualms about starving his people beyond human existence.

So we should just let Iran blow Israel off the map as they openly claim they will do if they get nuclear weapons than?
Should you give a drivers or a pilots license to anyone who wants one, just because they want one?
We used 1 bomb in retaliation, to stop Japan, we have not used "them", and that was about 50 years ago. Then we went and helped them, I don't think Japan would be as prosperous today if it were not for our help after they bombed Pearl Harbor.
Why is it ok for other countries to retaliate but not the U.S?

I do not trust the US at all. Who knows what Bush will want to do next? I do understand that Iran feels the need to protect itself from the US and Israel. I do also understand the anger and hatred that many people of the middle east feel. I do not think the US has any business being in the middle east at all.
I do recognize that Iran is a danger. There are also other dangerous countries. But the world does not get any safer by western countries tryig to force the muslim parts of the world to be like them. That just causes more anger and more terrorism. Talking does not work? Well, neither do wars apparently. The conflict level has not gone down much since the US attacked Afganistan and invaded Iraq. Go into Iran and I think hell will break loose.
About nuclear arms: I agree. Why do not the US and Israel try to show good will and get rid of some weapons? maybe Iran would not feel the need to get any? Just imagine how scary it must be to be Iran? You never know when someone will tell a lie about you and try to convince the world to attack you. It has been done, and may happen again.

When the U.S. is having nuclear power and developing atomic bombs how can they expect other countries not to eventually have the same things. This is just stuff the world is going to have to accept sooner or later. Other countries should be respected because force alone will not win.

The problem with the western nation, especially U.S.A is that they to dictate other countries foreign policies .Why are they paranoid in doing so? . America is the richest nation in the world till date so if someone chooses to trade with them they prosper ,it is so simple .Osama bin laden was in way created by the C.I.A , the secret service of U.S.A , so they reap what they sowed .

If you look at it from an egalitarian point of view, Iran has, as any other nation, the right to develop nuclear weapons. Who are the western powers to determine who might have nuclear bombs and who not, right? This is Imperialism, right? Wrong! This is a catch22 situation, where the rule of the stronger must apply. Iranian nuclear bombs could already reach Tel Aviv (they have at least the missile capability.) When would they be a threat to London, Paris or Rome. Before long, sure. So are we (the west) going to sit back and just hope for the best? We don't have that luxury, and even if it flies ino the face of all "ethical" or "legal" consideration, somebody has to stop them BEFOR they have the bomb.

Nonono......They shouldn't do that.
I think the reasone why they interfere others is that they don't want to others catch up with them. The want to keep to be the strongest state.Yes,that's no wrong, but they shouldn't use the way interfere other country. You can make youself stronger and stronger by youslelf not limited othrers.

No, the west cannot be trusted in this. The USA continues to use depleted uranium as they did heavily during the gulf war. The remaining radioactivity seems to be the main cause of birth defects in iraq. This is a war crime and should not be tolerated. The mainstream media is not catching up on this, because they are controlled by people loyal to the secret government.
I'm not saying the U.S. should go all isolationist, but they have no right to interfere with other countries in the way they do now. The invasion of Iraq is a desaster and will continue if they elect another Illuminati-puppet as their next president.
The only hope I have for the future is that the chinese secret societies end this farce that goes on since at least 20000 Years by simply killing off the Illuminati (this is their plan anyway, and they clearly outweigh the western secret societies in numbers).
