What are the advantages of a digital camera?

I think the advantage of digital cameras is that you can actually take more pictures than just using a disposable camera. With a digital camera you can load a big amount of pictures, and then take another load of pictures. The digital cameras to me have better quality than a ordinary camera. I know there are so many brands of them out there. I know that I have a Samsung Camera. It takes really good pictures plus it takes pretty good videos. I actually have two of them A Kodak and a Samsung. The Kodak I gave to my brother, but the Samsung is my newest one. So what do you guys think?

Mine's a Sony, 7.2 Megapixels, which has a zoom lens and takes movie pictures as well, which is great.
I prefer a digital camera because you can see the picture you're taking on the screen, develop the pictures straight away instead of having to take them to a photo shop to be developed, delete the ones which are not so good, and print off whichever ones you choose to.
Brightest Blessings.

The main advantage that I like is that you can see the pictures immediately and know whether it turned out ok or if you need to take more shots. There is nothing worse than taking photos of a major event and getting them developed and realizing that they didn't come out good, or didn't come out at all!
With a digital camera, you can download and share with friends/family immediately, and you can still print them out if you want to, for scrapbooking or whatever.
It's also completely reusable and you don't have to worry about being out of film when you see something that you want to snap in a hurry.
Oh, one more big advantage - no more opening the junk drawer to see several rolls of undeveloped film that you have no clue as to what they contain!

Ldyjarhead I agree and sure do not miss opening that junk drawer and wondering what photos were in each roll, then developing a roll and realizing that was not the pictures that you wanted to develop in the first place. LOL

The best advantage is that you do not have to go get the pictures developed and spend money on it.
You can also take quality pictures with a digital. My daughter has a Cannon

I agree with you. I also like the fact that you can edit the photos before printing or uploading them. I like that you can upload the to your computer and send your photos to family and friends. I have a Samsung camera too. Theres so many different features on this camera compared to the polarid that I had before.

Well, I love digital cameras. I've always enjoyed taking pictures, and when I got my digital camera it was great, because I could take even more! I have over 5000 pictures stored on a backup hard drive for my computer, and I also have about another 1000 pictures that are still on my camera that need to be uploaded!
I used to have a Kodak, and wish that I still had it, because it was a lot better than the camera that I have now. I bought this new camera, which is a Sanyo, because it was only $90 at Wal-Mart. I really should have looked at the picture quality before actually making the purchase, but I was just so excited about having a new camera! It takes okay pictures, as long as what your taking a picture of stays COMPLETELY still. It drives me nuts.
I just went to a wedding in February, and I had to take so many pictures just so that I could possibly get some good ones of the bride and groom. I only got about 200 good pictures out of probably 500. I am going to probably get a new camera, even though this one is brand new, and this time I'm going with Kodak again.

There are pros and cons with anything but overall I do like the digital camera. One of the main reasons is I don't have to carry a bunch of film with me. A little memory stick is it and that will hold so many images that I don't have to worry. As you pointed out i can make sure the picture is right and if not I can redo it. Then of course once I have them its very easy to save to a disc or print out.
The only problem i have found is most of them eat through the batteries so quickly. I would get good rechargeable batteries and the one camera we had would go through them before the day was even out and I wasn't taking that many photos. I actually ended up returning that one because of it. My other one which is a Kodak isn't quite as bad but it still goes through them fast.

Hi Desmaster, I love my digital camera, I do not miss the old ones at all. Like you mentioned there are so many things you can do with the digital cameras that you could not do before. I have a Kodak camera that I love and a Kodak printer when ever I want to print out my own pictures. I never have to pay for pictures that comes out bad like we had to do years ago. I can go to an event and take hundreds of pictures, delete the pictures I don't like or want and never have to buy film, how great is that.

I love having a digital camera! I think one of the big advantages is that, like you said, you can take so many more pictures with digital cameras, and also you can preview the pics and delete the ones that don't come out right to make room for new ones. Also, if there is a pic that you really want to get, then you can make sure it looks ok, or retake the picture if need be. I also really like that I don't have to spend as much money on buying film and getting pictures developed anymore. I can just choose to print the pictures that I want, or just put them directly on the computer to email to others or save onto a cd. It's really nice to be able to just save the pics on the computer or a cd and then erase the memory card and use it all over again for more pics!

O yea who wants to spend all that money on film. A alot times people just print the pictures from their printers.

oh by far I think the advantage of digital cameras is the ability to discriminate which images you wish to save and those which you dispose of without any further cost or time involved.
when you use a 35 mm camera you do not get to preview your film before having it developed so there is a tendency for waste.
The advantage of a 35 mm would be that your prints actually get printed... digital, it sometimes gets put off or we figure we can always view it on the computer - so there are not many photographs on hand and if the file gets corrupt well you lost them all :(

Digital cameras are really cool devices. A few months ago we bought one and it was a camera of Fujifilm. So far, after using old fashioned cameras for a long time, I have noticed many advantages of that digital one.
First of all, my cheap old fashioned camera was not able to take quality photos at all and we needed to pay for every pose. In addition, we are able to delete all the photos we don't like instantly, and it doesn't cause an extra cost.
If you buy a professional digital camera, then it will have more features and you can take photos at night too.
And you can store many photos as well as videos. You don't need a video casette to record a video!

one of the biggest advantages to me is always being able to take a picture on the fly without worrying about having film-or having to develop it later.
being able to view it immedietly is a plus also.
i had a few cameras that would jam in between frames (cartridge type) i think something was wrong with the forwarder.

As the computer technologies emerge and develop forward, many magic products are released. Among them, one is digital camera. First, it is not as good as ordinary camera for it has low picture pixel. But now, it has a high pixel and is as good as common camera. It is more convienient to get picture. So, it is populor and every on like it.
