How do you start a healthy lifestyle?

I read the three responders' suggestions and they have good reasons for their suggestions. I hope my answer would be a good supplement of theirs.
Good lifestyle including doing sports regularly,having right foods,enjoying the harmonious enviornment around you,sleeping well,etc.
The atmosphere does matter because if all around you are noisy how you can keep quiet. So try your best to get in a good atomosphere in which people loves lives and are good at taking good care of themselves.
But if you can not change the atmosphere, you need to improve your attitude and try to change the reality as much as possible, that is, you need to follow the rules of health such as enough exercises every day, good diet, and try to be postive every minute,etc. You can adapt yourself to the atmosphere and you can be yourself.
So following the rules of the healthy life, and also consider your own need, and then make a comprehensive plan on your health and try to act the plan as much as possible.
No matter what the atmosphere you are in, and no matter what happens, try to be brave and happy, you will find a new healthy life is not hard and you will be more and more healthy.

Your life is what you make it! Begin by practising Yoga. Yoga slows your mind as it stretches your muscles. This gives you time to pause and consider your life as you never have before.You will be surprised how quickly Yoga influences your life, and your lifestyle. Meditation follows, and you soon begin to look within. Now you see the changes your body is telling you to make. One thing leads to another and your new lifestyle is omnipresent.

That depends on what your current situation is. Are you living near a factory that's spewing out soot and toxins daily? Are you living on a busy street where car exhaust fumes waft into your window? Are your neighbors constantly fighting? Are you sharing your home with people who don't let you be comfortable and be yourself?
Where you live and what is around you does matter. Is the feeling heavy or light where you are? Does is feel healthy or toxic? Is there clutter around or is it open and clear?
The above is one area to look at. Then there is your eating habits - is your diet full of sugar and heavy junk type foods. Or is it balanced with fruit and vegetables, water and non-sugared fruit juices? Are the people you live with eating good diets or do you go with the flow and eat what they eat even if it's not good for you?
Then your exercise: How much do you get? Do you walk a mile everyday? Longer is better. Do you at least get enough fresh air?
So how do you start a new healthy life? You make a choice and take steps to change your environment, your diet, your body and consequently your peace of mind will follow automatically.

The first thing that you need to change your life style is an inspiration. Then you have to reschedule your everyday time table so that you can make time for the exercises that you want to do. And the last step is shift to a healthy diet. Reduce junk food or better that you quit it. It might take you sometime but you will soon enough notice a huge shift in your health.
