I was absolutely floored. Did anyone see the look on Paula's face? I wish they would keep the voting to the judges only. It's nothing but a popularity contest for these singers. All of them are good. I hope that Michael will have some offers or be able to keep on doing what he does best....sing! DCMerkle

I was upset about him being voted off myself. I agree it should have been kristy Lee Cook. She did get voted off this past week though. I voted 3 times for Micheal the night before he got voted off.

I was shocked about him being voted off too. I think he was too. I didn't necessarily expect him to win, but I thought he would be in the final few anyway. Paula was right in saying he comes off as such a nice guy and I hope he does have a contract waiting for him - at least there's the tour he'll be going on. I also truly love the way Pauls stands up for the contestants when they sing their final song too - I have to keep from sobbing like all the girls on the show. Oh, and I think Kristy is long overdue to be voted off.

I couldn't believe it either. I agree I can't believe that the country girl is still there. she should have been the first one off. I hope we haven't heard the last of him.

I was very shocked. He really has agreat voice. I will buy any Cd he puts out there and I know he will be a huge star.

I was just as shocked when he was voted off as much as I was when Chris Daughtry was voted off 2 years ago. I was hoping Syesha would have gotten voted off. Then this week Kristy was really good and she got voted off too. At least David Cook and Carly Smithson are still there. Those 2 are the only favorites I have left. :)

I don't know about the top 4 but he deffinately is way better than Kristy Lee Cook. Then again if my cat sang... he'd be better than Kristy Lee Cook. Micheal Johns was very strong in the beginning but I've noticed his slide in the past month. His performances weren't as tight. Besides he's an Aussie.... Americans kept voting for Kristy LEe Cook cause she's the all american country girl who had to sell her horse to get there. She kept choosing songs that played to that. I really don't think America would let a foreigner win American Idol.
