I have read many times that people have left ebay (especially recently since so many changes, not least of all the sneaky hike in fees) but where are you all having some actual activity. Yes there are loads of alternatives out there but most are like ghost towns. I have had items listed on ebid and Tazbar for example and sold one or two items on each but I shift 20 items PER DAY on ebay. Also some are USA specific at this time, or evan Australia only in one case but I am selling in the UK and an alternative to ebay would have to have a UK section or site or even make it easy to distinguish yourself as a UK based seller. Come on, are any of you having any actual success on an alternative site, and which one is it?? PLEASE TELL ME !!!! lol Eagerly awaiting replies !! Simon. http://tinyurl.com/3phapg

I am an artist and I have opened up an Etsy store. Even people in the UK can set up a store there. I hear that sales are slow, but they happen. But, then, again, art sales are slow just about everywhere, now, because of the economy. Here is a link to my store: http://desertdarlene.etsy.com

I have tried selling stuff on Amazon and that has worked okay. What are you trying to sell? I know Half.com (they are owned by ebay) works great for books, CDs, and DVDs.
