Here's proof of how Obama really feels concerning gun rights.
http://www.nraila.org/Issues/Articles/Read.aspx?id=286&issue=042
When Obama had the chance to show his position on gun rights as an Illinois State Senator, he voted against a person's right to defend himself.
How do you feel concerning the right to keep a gun in your home. Should any level of government have the right to forbid you to own a gun? What do you think of Obama's opinions on gun rights?

My view of Obama is that he is a closet Muslim bent on taking away our civil liberties. Once the people are disarmed he intends to disarm our country by destroying our military's defensive weapons as an "example" to other nations to do likewise. He will make America vulnerable to our enemies, and I believe he is one of them.

Politicians are such good liars that we will never know if Obama is a closet Muslim or not. That said, there are enough indications he is an enemy of America that I'll never vote for him.

Hello Red,
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!!!
The last week or so, I've been out of the news loop. Though, prior to that I've been very engaged. It is my assessment that this Presidential election will be one of the most important in the history of our country. Those who have sought for many, many years to undermine our national foundation have duplicitiously, yet feverishly worked to affect the course of this great land.
While I had believed that I was diligently engaged -- I had never before seen this account of Obama's Illinois State Legislative votes on issues pertaining to the Second Amendment. So, I am deeply appreciative of you bringing this to our attention! And, deeply troubled!
The Second Amendment is a pivotol issue for me, as well as throngs of other Constitutional-minded folks. I will perform due-diligence to confirm Obama's state voting record (not that I doubt you -- its the media that has a credibility issue). Then, armed with the facts, I will work double-time to make sure that this hypocritical, manipulator is kept as far as possible from the Oval Office.
ANY ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE WHO SUBVERTS THE U.S. CONSTITUTION HAS NO BUSINESS HOLDING ELECTED OFFICE. Each representative has pledged an oath to uphold the Constitution. So, any action to subvert our endowed rights is not only an abuse of The People's trust, it is an act of treason. As far as I am concerned, our elected have gotten a pass on this for FAR TOO LONG!

The pivotal US Presidential election in my lifetime, the one where the USA really started down the wrong path, was in 1964 when LBJ defeated Goldwater. LBJ was a documented liar and corrupt politican whereas Goldwater was an honest conservative.
I maintain that if Goldwater had been elected the Vietnam War either would not have happened, or would have been a very small scale war of 6 months or less. Furthermore, the wasteful, destructive, counter productive WAR ON POVERTY would never have been started. The modern liberal malise that infects the nation today, started in earnest in 1964, though I don't really get upset with those who maintain it actually goes back to FDR.
Like you, I will do what I can to help elect John McCain instead of Obama or even Hillary.
