Tomorrow is Vishu in Kerala. I would like to wish happy vishu to all the malayalees in mylot. Keralites celebrate their New Year on the first day of the Malayalam month of Medam according to the Kollam calendar. This usually falls on 14 April. A festival of gaiety and renewal, this day is celebrated with great fun in Kerala. We have fireworks at this festival in India and the school annual holidays start at this time. It is lots of smiles all around. All malayalees here wish each other on this Vishu day. Happy Vishu to all of you.

Thank you very much for your wishes. Puthhandu nal vazhthhukkal to you all also. Hope this year turns out to be a good one for all of us here at mylot and elsewhere. Let me se how much kaineetam I get tomorrow. Kaineetam means youngsters get money from the elders as they put out their hands out and get them. We used to get only coins before, nowadays parents are giving notes also with the usual 1 re coin.
