Are you talking something along the lines of the situation in the television show 'Dark Angel' where a massive magnetic pulse wiped out all of the computers on earth resulting in setting humanity back hundreds of years?
If that were to ever happen then it would be like in the show where millionaires would suddenly be without money because they don't physically hold it. The money would be there in the form of notes, coins and bullion but there would be no way to know who it belonged to since the data on the computers had been wiped out.

shut up! this will never happen. it would be awesome if all the computer will all shut down because of deadly virus. the only thing that could only shut down a computer is the out of power. this is the time when we don't have any electricity anymore.

well if computers shut down the world would end literally because nothing in the world would work such as gas stations wont be able to pump gas and the world would stop moving. Then I would think that everybody would have to deal with living like they did in little house on the prairie. lol

This would be far more drastic than people realise, because computers control a vast amount of things at the present.
Most airlines would come to a standstill and such establishments as Nuclear Power Stations would have to be closed due to the lack of computerised control. All in all it would virtually halt society as we know it.

Nothing bad would happen to us...we would just go back to being people who think for themselves instead of being robots who rely in computers!

If this is for real, then we will see that all the system and organization in the world will be in the stand still.
First, all the computer addicts will turn to television set as the alternative to computer set. Others will communicate through telephone instead of email and messengers.
For business world, every transaction will be at the stand still. No transaction through banking and any related computer business will be able to carry out. That's mean everything will be done manually and very slow. It may even take up months to get the transaction done between countries.
Next, all the system in the world will be operated manually and definitely very slow and tedious without copmuter doing the running. People will have to figure out the solution instead of the computer handle the problems before this. In a way, it make human work harder.
As a whole, everything will be slow and perhaps cannot be done without computers. So, I don't think man can live without computer in this high-tech era.

if ever this would happen then the people in the goverment are the ones who will get affected. almost everything now is relying on computers and coming back to manuals is not a pretty good idea for them. i think we will be back on smail mails and type writters. pick up the phone again when you want to know something rather than just text messaging.

hi fransico third, i think you are very imaginary, anyways if computers are lost then i will be lost too, because am interrelated to computers, they are part of my life, and when you view it generally, everything will be slow, and the economy of the world will fall, with out computers there in no communication at all, what makes you think this way?

Well .. I hate to say this, But I wish that would happen. And happens for a very short period of time.. Then I could go and have some fun.. M bored of sitting with my computer and doing stuff that I like. I just don't like it anymore.. Instead Id go out and like to have a drive, but cant.. I'm just stuck to this thing.. lol.. I sound freakish..
Anyways.. I ain't stuck to it.. and I certainly can avoid it if I want, but still It'd be a split second shock if computers wont work.. The whole has become so dependent on these machines that they have given it the puling nerve... a circuit holds the key to human existence.
