Have you heard of "the grid" yet? Do you think it will revolutionize the internet? Do yout think it'll be ultra-regulated "big brother" in nature? What are your thoughts?

I think you are naive if after 911, you think everything we say and do is not possibly recorded and/or tracked in some way. Keeping us safe in many ways also equals taking away our basic freedoms. I think its virtually impossible to not be listened to by the government these days, good and bad.

Trust me, I"m not naive, but the simplest understanding of software, and human capabilities--makes us realize this one thing--that every thing has the POTENTIAL to being tracked, and catalogued, but the manpower and time is lacking to allow everything to be catalogued...yet... It will happen, and it is suggested that with something like net2 or the grid--they will have all the AI they need to catalog everything. Your line about "keeping us safe in many ways also equals taking away our basic freedoms" makes me think on the Jeffersonian/Franklin expression:
"Those who'd trade their freedoms for security, deserve neither, and will lose both." Research the oldest politicial science/ tactical ruse in the world--the problem-reaction-solution formula.
