Don't you just hate it when you've been invited to a "family gathering".
"Oh, we've been invited over to Dianne's"
So there you are, snuggling into your smart-evening clothes, applying light makeup, doing your hair and only to find about 60 people crammed into two rooms.
Not only are all of them atleast 3 times your age, but they're all in their own community. This "gathering" is obviously one of many that they'll all religiously attend this month, and they all know each other so well.
So you stand by the side, sipping your bottled water, snacking on peanuts, and feel like a complete idiot.
I hate those parties. I feel COMPLETELY out of my comfort zone! I don't understand the point of them, and I never will. but that's called socializing!
I think I'll stay in with a movie, some close friends, and popcorn, next time, thanks.
Do any of you every feel like that?
