This one may hit close to home for many of you. My Grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer about 6 months ago. Thank the good Lord that she caught it in the really early stages! She did have to have the affected lymph nodes removed (resulting in her losing half of her breast). And after a pretty big struggle with chemo and a bit of radiation...at times we thought we were going to lose her. But now she is recovering beautifully!Well, this morning I got an email from my mom. For Mother's Day this year, she is going to participate in the 'Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization's' 3 mile walk to raise money for those affected. My family is very blessed in that we are very close my granny has not had to face this alone for even one day. My mom is participating in this walk and trying to raise $100 because she wants to ensure no one faces breast cancer alone. This organization she is supporting is a staff of trained peer councelors who are breast cancer survivors. If any of this hits close to home for you and your family, or you just want to help others cope in their time of need, please visit my mom's website at http://main.y-me.org/goto/Paula.Caudill If you can contribute even $1 to my mom's walk it would be greatly appreciated! Or if you live in the Tulsa, OK area and want to walk in it too, you can go to a link off of that website and join. My kids and I will be walking alongside my mom for my Granny on Mother's Day...What will you be doing?
