Roses - completion, achievement, perfection; particular meanings are attributed to them according to their colors. For example, blue means impossible, white for love, red for passion, yellow for friendship, pink for grace and gratitude, lilac for love at first sight.
Lilies - purity, fertility, marriage, sexuality
Carnations - red means charity and love, pink means "always on my mind", striped carnations are for refusal
red chrysanthemums - passion
iris - burning love (although I seem to remember it as a flower that means loyalty or fidelity)
primrose - "I cannot be with you"
Hyacinth - purple - apology/regret
According to a television drama I am watching, eleven flowers in a bouquet means that the person who gave it to you thinks that you are his/her one and only in this lifetime. Isn't that sweet? :D
Btw, please suggest a flower that has a nice meaning, smells good and looks great. I don't have a favorite flower and I am looking for something that will satisfy the above requirement. Please post pics if you can. THanks!
