What are the Best Deals You've ever gotten at a garage sale, auction, thrift

I don't know if it's about being in the right place at the right time, but just this past January, on the way home from shopping someone in the neighborhood was having an estate sale. I got tons of really great books at a steal like Harvard Classics Five Foot Shelf of Books, 24 Volumes of Mark Twain and others.
I hung around for a while and noticed that the longer the auction went on, the cheaper items were being let go. It was almost at the end and I scooped a Lowrey organ, bench and all for $5.00. It was quite dusty and the keys were dirty, but after I got it all cleaned up, the sound is incredible and it looks beautiful in my dining room...Now, I just have to learn
how to play the thing.
How about you? What your best deal?

My mother is the queen of bargin shopping. But, my father's pride and joy was buying a printer at a church rummage sale for only $1. It works!
My personal bargin was at a huge book sale and I was looking through the year books. Just out of curiousity, I went through the universities and came across Purdue. Quickly, I glanced through it...and found my father's picture. You can bet, it's on of my special joys and it's in his study room.
